الْحَآقَّةُ The Inevitable Reality!

سَخَرَ سَبْع لَيْل ثَمَنَ يوْم حَسَمَ رَأَى قَامَ NF عَجَزَ نَخَلَ خَوَى


He subjugated them for seven nights and eight days, decisively terminated them; you could see the nation there, thrown to the ground, like they were empty trunks of the palm trees.

69:8


فَهَلْ Then do?

Do you see (anything) remaining?

وَجَآءَ And came

جَاءَ قَبِلَ أَفَكَ خَطِيءَ


And Firoun came, and those predecessors and their cities were overturned due to their sins.

69:10


فَعَصَوْا And they disobeyed

عَصَى رَسِلَ رَبَّ أَخَذَ أَخَذَ رَبَا


But they disobeyed the messenger of their Rabb, so they were held in an exceeding (stronger) hold.

إِنَّا Indeed We

"When the water (level) exceeded (its limit), we carried you on the ship."

لِنَجْعَلَهَا That We might make it

جعل ذَكّرَ وعى أَذن وعى


Indeed, We made this a vital reminder to encourage listeners to pay attention.

فَإِذَا Then when

Then, when the Horn is blown, a single blow. (It can be a single planet, asteroid, or comet hitting the earth that will destroy the planet, among other cosmic events that will signal the end of the world).

69:14


وَحُمِلَتِ And are lifted

حَمَلَ أَ رَضْ جبل دَكَّ دَكَّ أحد


And whatever is carried on the earth and the mountains, will be crushed with a single blow.

69:15


فَيَوْمَئِذٍ Then (on) that Day

وَقَعَتِ will occur

الْوَاقِعَةُ the Occurrence

On that Day, the occurrence will happen.

وَانشَقَّتِ And will split

يَوْمَئِذٍ (is on) that Day

وَاهِيَةٌ frail

And the sky will break down, so it will become weak (flimsy).

69:17


وَالْمَلَكُ And the Angels

يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day

ملك رَجَعَ حَمَلَ عَرَشَ رَبَّ فَاقَ ثَمَنَ


And the angels will surround, and on that day, there will be eight carrying the Throne of Your Rabb over them.

69:18


يَوْمَئِذٍ That Day

تُعْرَضُونَ you will be exhibited

You will be presented (with all your deeds) on the Day of Judgement, and nothing will be hidden from you in secret.

فَأَمَّا Then as for

أتى كَتَبَ يَمَنَ قَالَ قَرَأَ كَتَبَ


He who is given his book in his right hand will say, "Here is my book, read it!"

69:20


إِنِّى Indeed I

ظَنَنتُ I was certain

فَهُوَ So he

So, he will be in a prosperous, satisfying life.

قُطُوفُهَا Its clusters of fruits

وَأَمَّا But as for

أتى كَتَبَ شِمَال قَالَ أتى كَتَبَ


But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he will say, “O I wish I were never given my book.

69:26


وَلَمْ And not

أَدْرِ I had known

And I did not know (understand) what my account was.

يَالَيْتَهَا O! I wish it

I wish that were the final decision (my death should have been the end).

مَآ Not

أَغْنَىٰ has availed

(Now), There is no use for me of my wealth.

هَلَكَ Is gone

هَلَكَ سُلَط


My authority (to make decisions) has destroyed me.”

خُذُوهُ Seize him

“Take hold of him and put the iron collar on him.

ثُمَّ Then

الْجَحِيمَ (into) the Hellfire

Then burn him in the hellfire.

فِي سَلْسَلَ ذَرَعَ سَبْع ذَرَعَ سَلَكَ


Then chain him in the measure of seventy measures, then follow him (drag him)".

إِنَّهُۥ Indeed he

For he did not believe in Allah the Great.

وَلَا And (did) not

Nor he instigated (proposed) on feeding the poor.

فَلَيْسَ So not

And no food except the discharge from the wounds.

إِنَّهُۥ Indeed it (is)

And these are not words of a poet; little do you believe.

Nor words of a fortune teller, little do you mention.

تَنزِيلٌ (It is) a revelation

وَلَوْ And if

If he had spoken (falsely) against Us, some of the words.

لَأَخَذْنَا Certainly We (would) have seized

بِالْيَمِينِ by the right hand

Surely, We would have taken hold of him from the right hand.

ثُمَّ Then

Thumma

لَقَطَعْنَا certainly We (would) have cut off

الْوَتِينَ the aorta

Then We would have cut his aorta.

فَمَا And not

حَاجِزِينَ (who could) prevent (it)

And no one from you could prevent it for him.

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed it

Wainnahu

لَتَذْكِرَةٌ (is) surely a reminder

لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ for the Allah-fearing

ذَكّرَ وقى


This is a reminder for devoted (God-fearing).

وَإِنَّا And indeed We

Wainna

لَنَعْلَمُ surely We know

مِنكُم among you

مُّكَذِّبِينَ (are) deniers

علِم كَذَبَ


And indeed, We know that some of you will be rejectors (reject it).

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed it

Wainnahu

لَحَسْرَةٌ (is) surely a regret

الْكَافِرِينَ the disbelievers

حَسَرَ كَفَرَ


And indeed, this will surely be the grievance for the nonbelievers.

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed it (is)

And indeed, yet this is the truth to be certain.

فَسَبِّحْ So glorify

So, praise the name of your Rabb, the Greatest.
