18:1


الْحَمْدُ All Praise

Alhamdu
ح م د
لِلّٰهِ (is) for Allah

lillahi
أ ل ه
الَّذِىٓ the One Who

allathee

أَنزَلَ (has) revealed

anzala
ن ز ل
عَلَىٰ to

AAala

عَبْدِهِ His slave

AAabdihi
ع ب د
الْكِتَابَ the Book

alkitaba
ك ت ب
وَلَمْ and not

walam

يَجْعَل (has) made

yajAAal
ج ع ل
لَّهُۥ in it

lahu

عِوَجًا any crookedness

AAiwajan
ع و ج
١

حَمِدَ إِلَٰه نَزَلَ عَبَدَ كَتَبَ جعل عَوِجَ


All the praise to Allah. He is the One who revealed the Book to His slave, and He did not place a deviation (a twist) in this.

18:2


قَيِّمًا Straight

لِّيُنذِرَ to warn

الصَّالِحَاتِ righteous deeds

لَهُمْ for them

أَجْرًا (is) a reward

حَسَنًا good

قَامَ نَذَرَ بَأْ س- بَؤُ سَ شَدَّ لّدُن بشِر أمُن عَمِلَ صَلَحَ أَجَرَ حَسَنَ


Precios (Al Quran is a valuable source) to warn them of a severe calamity from Him and give the good news to the believers who do righteous deeds that there is a good reward for them.

18:3


مَّاكِثِينَ (They will) abide

مَكَثَ فِي أبد


They will dwell therein forever.

18:4


وَيُنذِرَ And to warn

And to warn those who say, “Allah has taken a son.”

18:5


مَّا Not

علِم أَب كَبَرَ كلِمُ خرج فَاهَ قَالَ كَذَبَ


They do not have any knowledge about this, nor did their forefathers. A big word of lie comes out of their mouths. They say nothing but lies.

18:6


فَلَعَلَّكَ Then perhaps you would (be)

اٰثَارِهِمْ their footsteps

يُؤْمِنُوا they believe

بِهَٰذَا in this

الْحَدِيثِ [the] narration

alhadeethi
ح د ث
أَسَفًا (in) grief

بَخَعَ نفُس أثر أمُن حَدَثَ أَ سِفَ


So, perhaps you will kill yourself with grief for their preferences, that they do not believe in this conversation (report).

18:7


إِنَّا Indeed We

Inna

جَعَلْنَا We have made

الْأَرْضِ the earth

لَّهَا for it

لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ that We may test [them]

أَيُّهُمْ which of them?

أَحْسَنُ (is) best

عَمَلًا (in) deed

AAamalan
ع م ل
٧

جعل أَ رَضْ زَانَ بلو حَسَنَ عَمِلَ


Indeed, We made it a decoration, what is on the earth (We put the charm in the world), for Us to test who among them will pursue a good deed (who does not forget Allah and give thanks to Him for all livelihood).

18:8


وَإِنَّا And indeed We

لَجَاعِلُونَ (will) surely make

And We will make whatever is on it (earth) a leveled barren (land).

18:9


أَمْ Or

Am

حَسِبْتَ have you thought?

Did you consider that the cave companions and the inscription (scripted message) are among our amazing signs?

أوى فَتَنَ كَهْف قَالَ رَبَّ أتى لّدُن رَحِمَ هَيَّا أمر رَشَدَ


When the young men took shelter in the cave, they said, “O our Rabb, grant us Mercy and pave the way for us a right course of action in our matter.

18:11


فَضَرَبْنَا So We cast

ضَرَبَ أَذن فِي كَهْف سَنَته عَدَّ


Then We sealed their ears (stroke ringing in their ears) (to stay) in the cave for many years.

18:12


ثُمَّ Then

Thumma

بَعَثْنَاهُمْ We raised them up

لِنَعْلَمَ that We make evident

أَىُّ which?

الْحِزْبَيْنِ (of) the two parties

أَحْصَىٰ best calculated

لِمَا for what

لَبِثُوا (they had) remained

أَمَدًا (in) time

١٢

بعث علِم حَزَنَ حَصَ لبِث أَ مَدْ


Then, We woke them up to know who among the groups had a better count of how long they stayed in their place.

18:13


نَّحْنُ We

Nahnu

نَقُصُّ We narrate

إِنَّهُمْ Indeed they (were)

بِرَبِّهِمْ in their Lord

وَزِدْنَاهُمْ and We increased them

هُدًى (in) guidance

١٣

قصّ نبأ حَقَّ فَتِىَ أَ مُنَ رَبَّ زَيدَ هَدَى


We will narrate the true story to you with their information. They were young and believed in their Rabb, and We increased their guidance (We guided them on the right way towards their Rabb).

18:14


وَرَبَطْنَا And We made firm

لَّقَدْ Certainly

قُلْنَآ we would have said

إِذًا then

شَطَطًا an enormity

١٤

رَبَطَ قلب قَامَ قَالَ رَبَّ رَبَّ سما أَ رَضْ دَعَا دُون إِله قَالَ شَطَّ


And We connected (united) their hearts when they were steadfast, and they said, “O our Rabb, The Rabb of the universe and the earth; we will never call on any god other than Him, Indeed, (truly) (if) we say that then we would be gone too far in excess (crossing the limit of lying).”

18:15


هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ These

قَوْمُنَا our people

فَمَنْ And who?

أَظْلَمُ (is) more wrong

مِمَّنِ than (one) who

افْتَرَىٰ invents

كَذِبًا a lie

١٥

قَامَ أَخَذَ دُون إِله أتى سُلَط بَا نَ ظَلَمَ فتر إِله كَذَبَ


“These are our people who have taken other than Him as God. Why do they not bring clear authority (proof, evidence) on them? Who is more unjust than that who fabricates lies (makes partners) with Allah?”

18:16


وَإِذِ And when

١٦

عَزَلَ عَبَدَ إِلَٰه أوى كَهْف نشر رَبَّ رَحِمَ هَاءَ أمر رَفَقَ


“Now that you have separated (isolated) from them (that community) who were worshipping beside Allah, then take shelter in the cave. (Saying) He will gather you, Your Rabb, under His mercy and arrange (make) your matters convenient.”

وَتَرَى And you (might) have seen

١٧

رَأَى شَمَسَ طَلَعَ زَارَ كَهْف ذُو يَمَنَ غَرَبَ قَرَضَ ذُو شِمَال فِي فَجَّ آ ىي -آية إِله هَدَى إِلَٰه هَدَى ضلّ وَجَدَ وَلِيَ رَشَدَ


And you will see the sun when it rises; it turns away (inclines slanted from) their cave to the right, and when it sets, it cuts away (scraps off) to the left, as they are in the caves's opening. These are among the signs of Allah. Whoever Allah guides, he is the guided one, but whoever He leaves misguided, you will never find a supporter or guide for him.

وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ And you (would) think them

لَوَلَّيْتَ you (would) have surely turned back

فِرَارًا (in) flight

وَلَمُلِئْتَ and surely you would have been filled

مِنْهُمْ by them

رُعْبًا (with) terror, (with) fear

١٨

حَسَبَ يقٍظ رَقَدَ قلب ذُو يَمَنَ ذَا شِمَال كلِب بسط ذَرَعَ وَصَدَ طَلَعَ وَلِيَ فَرَّ مَلَأَ رعب


You will think they were awake, but they were asleep. And We rolled them over, turning them right and to the left, with their dog sitting with its forearms spread at the doorstep firmly. If you come to them suddenly, you would turn back from them, running away and filled with fear of them.

وَكَذَٰلِكَ And similarly

بَعَثْنَاهُمْ We raised them

فَلْيَأْتِكُم and let him bring to you

بِرِزْقٍ provision

مِّنْهُ from it

وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ and let him be cautious

وَلَا And not

wala

يُشْعِرَنَّ let be aware

بِكُمْ about you

bikum

أَحَدًا anyone

ahadan
أ ح د
١٩

بعث سأل بَا نَ قَالَ قَالَ لبِث قَالَ لبِث يوْم بَعَضَ يوْم قَالَ رَبَّ علِم لبِث بعث أحد وَرَقَ مدن نَظَرَ زَكَى طَعِمَ أتى رَزَقَ لَطَفَ شعر أحد


And that is how We woke them up, so they will ask each other. One speaker among them said, “How long have you stayed?” They said, “A day or some part of a day.” They said, “Your Rabb knows best with how long you have stayed.” “Dispatch one of you with your paper money this way to the town, and they will see who can bring you purer (appropriate) food with this. And he should be friendly and kind, and they (people of the town) should not recognize any of you.”

إِنَّهُمْ Indeed [they]

ظهر رَجَعَ عاد فِي مَلَّ فًلَحَ أبد


“If they will come to know you (discover) you, they will stone you or return you to their nation, and then you will never be successful.”

وَكَذَٰلِكَ And similarly

أَعْثَرْنَا We made known

مَّسْجِدًا a place of worship

٢١

عَثَرَ علِم وَعَدَ إِله حَقَّ سَاعته رَابَ نَزَعَ بَا نَ أمر قَالَ اِبْن بَنَى رَبَّ علِم قَالَ غَلَبَ أمر أَخَذَ سَجَدَ


We made them discover so they would know that Allah's promise is the truth and that the time will end; there is no doubt about it. When they disputed among them in their matter, they said, "Construct on them a building." Their Rabb knows best about them. Those who were dominant in their affairs said, "We will follow (with the construction of) a mosque for them."

Soon, they will say, “They were three, and their dog is fourth of them.” And they will say, “Five and sixth of them is their dog,” while guessing. And they will say, “Seven, and the eighth of them is their dog.” Say, “My Rabb knows best with their count.” You do not know except a few. So, do not be doubtful about it; it is only an open dispute, and do not ask (give) an opinion on this about them to anyone.

Without saying, “Except what Allah Desires.” And remember when you forget and say, “I hope my Rabb will guide me nearer (likely) than this guide (the right way).”

Say, “Allah knows the best with how long they stayed.” For Him is what is unseen in the universe and the earth. He sees it clearly and listens clearly. There is nobody for them other than Him as a supporter, and nobody shares in His commands.

And be patient yourself (along) with those who call their Rabb in the mornings and the evenings. They seek His direction and do not extend your eyes to them for you to seek adornment of the world's life. And do not follow whom We have made inattentive (he pays no attention) his heart for Our remembrance, and he follows his passions, and his affairs are being in excess.

قَالَ حَقَّ رَبَّ شِاءَ أمُن شِاءَ كَفَرَ عَتُدَ ظَلَمَ نَار حَاطَ سُرَادِق غَاثَ غَاثَ مَا ءَ مَهَلَ شَوَى وَجَهَ بَأْ س- بَؤُ سَ شَرِبَ سَا ءَ رَفَقَ


And say, “The truth is from your Rabb. Whoever desires, let him believe in it. And whoever wishes, let him be ungrateful.” We have prepared for the unjust fire by surrounding them with a large canopy. And when they call for help, they will be helped with a miserable drink that roasts their faces. Miserable the beverage, and unfortunate are their possession of easement (miserable place).

جنّ عَدْن جَرَى تحْت نهر حَلَّ سُوَار ذهب لَبِسَ ثَابَ خَضَرَ وَكَأَ رَأَى نَعَمَ ثَابَ حَسَنَ رَفَقَ


For them are the Gardens of Eden, with rivers running below them. They will be adorned with jewelry from gilded gold and wear clothes of green dresses from silk and brocade, sitting there on luxurious couches. That is a great reward and good companions (beautiful possession of easement, good place).

Give them an example of two men. We provided for one of them two gardens of grapes and surrounded them with date palm trees, and We put a farm (plantation, agriculture) between them.

And it has been a fruitful production for him. He told his companion while discussing with him, “I have more wealth than you, and I am more dominant in manpower (than you).”

His friend said to him while in conversation (discussing), “Do you become ungrateful with Him Who has created you from the dust, then from the sperm, then gave you a harmonious body as a man?”

And if only (why not) you said, when you enter your garden, ‘Allah-willing, there is no power except with Allah?’ Although you see me as inferior to you in wealth and offspring (progeny).

Perhaps my Rabb will give me better than your garden, and He will send on this (garden) a reckoning (to settle of account) from the sky, and you will wake up in the morning to a slippery ascent (loosing).

Or wake up with its water sunk deeply (dried up), and you will never be able to demand (obtain) it.”

وَأُحِيطَ And were surrounded

حَاطَ ثَمَرَ صَبُحَ قلب كفا نفق خَوَى عَرَشَ قَالَ شَرِكَ رَبَّ أحد


And its fruits are surrounded (with ruin) when he woke up in the morning, turning (rubbing) palms of hands (in sorrow) on what work was spent on it, and now it is all an emptiness left of a climbing trellis. And he said, “O, I wish I had never associated anyone as a partner with my Rabb.”

وَلِيَ إِلَٰه حَقَّ خَيرَ ثَابَ خَيرَ عَقَبَ


There, (because) actual authority belongs to Allah (True Support), He rewards the best, and the best (rewards) to follow up in the end.

ضَرَبَ مَثَلَ حي دَنَا مَا ءَ نَزَلَ سَمَا خَلَطَ نَبَتَ أَ رَضْ صَبُحَ هشم ذَرَا رَاحَ كَانَ إِلَٰه كُلّ شِاءَ قدر


And give them an example of the life of this world: He sent down water from the sky and then mixed it with its vegetation to grow plants on the earth, but later, it became dry chaffs that the wind blew away. And Allah has power over everything, Omnipotent and Powerful (All-Powerful Almighty Supreme Preeminent Most High).

The wealth and the children are adornments (decoration) of the life of this world, but the remaining is the righteousness (what remains are the righteous deeds), best near your Rabb for reward and hope.

وَيَوْمَ And the Day

On the Day when We drive the mountains, you will see the earth appear, We will gather them, and We will not leave any of them.

وَعُرِضُوا And they will be presented

And they will be presented to your Rabb in rows. “You came to Us just as We created you the first time, but you thought that We had not made an appointed time for you (to resurrect).”

وَضَعَ كَتَبَ رَأَى جرم شَفِقَ فِي قَالَ وَيْل كَتَبَ غَدَرَ صَغُرَ كَبَرَ حَصَ وَجَدَ عَمِلَ حَضَرَ ظَلَمَ رَبَّ أحد


And the book (a record) will be produced, and you will see the sinners become compassionate (kind) with what is in it. And they will say, “O calamity on us! What is this book (a record) where nothing is left out, small or big, but it is accounted for?” They will find what they have done present (recorded to see). And your Rabb Does not wrong anyone.

قَالَ ملك سَجَدَ سَجَدَ كَانَ جنّ فًسًق أمر رَبَّ أَخَذَ ذَرَّ وَلِيَ دُون عدا بَأْ س- بَؤُ سَ ظَلَمَ بَدَلَ


And when We said to the angels, “Prostrate to Adam.” Then they prostrated, except Iblis. He was from the Jinn, so he strayed (defied) the command of his Rabb. (Still) Do you take him (Iblis) and his offspring as supporters other than Me when they are enemies to you? (Then) misery is an exchange for the unjust.

I have not made them a witness during the creation of the universe and the earth, nor when I created their souls, and I was not going to take the misguided as an assistant (supporter, collaborator).

وَيَوْمَ And the Day

يوْم قَالَ ندا شَرِكَ زَعَمَ دَعَا جاب جعل بَا نَ وَبَقَ


And on the day, He will say, “Call those that you consider My partners.” Then they will call them, but they will not answer (respond to) them. And We will make a place of calamity (destruction) between them.

وَرَأَى And will see

And the sinners will see the fire and consider that they will be thrown down there. And they will not find (any possibility of) turning away from it.

And indeed, We have set out every example in this Quran for humankind, but human beings dispute (put arguments) many things.

Nothing prevented humankind from believing when guidance reached them and to ask for forgiveness from their Rabb. (What prevented them) Except the earlier traditions (of nonbelievers) came to them, or (they believed) when the punishment came to them upfront (then they would accept).

رَسِلَ رَسِلَ بشِر نَذَرَ جدل كَفَرَ بَطَلَ دَحَضَ حَقَّ أَخَذَ آ ىي -آية نَذَرَ هزِىء


We did not send the messengers except as those who bring the good news and as Warner. Those who disputed (argued) with them were ungrateful and believed in falsehood to refute (invalidate) the truth. And they took My signs and warnings as an object of ridicule.

ظَلَمَ ذَكّرَ آ ىي -آية رَبَّ عَرُضَ نَسِيَ قَدَمَ يدي جعل قلب كنّ فَقِهَ أَذن وَقَرَ دَعَا هَدَى هَدَى أبد


Who is more unjust than who turns away when My Ayats (verses) are recited (reminded) and forgets what he has sent forward with his hands? We put veils to cover their hearts so they do not understand this, and their ears are hard to hear. And if you call them for guidance, they will never receive advice.

وَرَبُّكَ And your Lord

رَبَّ غفر ذُو رَحِمَ أَخَذَ كَسَبَ عَجِلَ عَذُبَ وَعَدَ وَجَدَ دُون وَأَلَ


Your Rabb is the Most Forgiving and is with Mercy. If He Would Seize them because of what they earned, the punishment would be quickened. But for them, it is an appointed time, and then they will never find other than Him to give shelter.

وَتِلْكَ And these

الْقُرَىٰٓ [the] towns

And these villages We have destroyed because of what they unjustly did, and We made an appointed time for their destruction.

And when Musa said to his slave, “I will not leave my (journey) until I reach the meeting point of the two large rivers, or I will continue (my journey) for a long stretch of time.” (Note for learning or for gaining knowledge has no time limit).

Then, when they arrived at a meeting point between two (rivers), they forgot their fish, which passed in the sea in a hole.

قَالَ رَأَى أوى صَخْرَ نَسِيَ حَالَ أَنِسَ شَيَطن ذَكّرَ أَخَذَ سَبَلَ فِي بَحَرَ عَجَبَ


He said, "Did you see when we rested on the rock? I forgot (to mention) the fish; only the shaitan made me forget to mention it. And it (fish) made a surprising path in the ocean." (Note for the lesson, Shaitan will always put difficulties in learning. Shaitan will cause obstacles, and you must keep struggling and not let Shaitan's actions be used as reasons for not learning).

He said, “That is what we have been looking for.” So, they returned, following in their footsteps. (Note for the lesson. You may lose time and resources in gaining knowledge. Musa accepted the loss and kept on struggling to gain understanding).

Then they found. Our worshipper among Our slaves, whom We granted Mercy and taught him Knowledge.

Musa said to (ask him), "May I follow you so that you teach me what you have been taught through spiritual guidance?" (NOTE FOR LESSON: Musa politely asked the teacher about his decision regarding the teaching. The teacher deserves respect and should be treated with admiration).

Then, they both started (begin) the journey. Until they rode in a boat, he made a hole. He (Musa) said, “Have you made the hole to drown its people? Indeed, you committed something (terrible).”

Then, they both started (begin) the journey. Until they met a boy and then killed him, he said, “You have killed a good, righteous soul without a soul (who killed no one)? You committed a reprehensible thing.”

طَلُقَ أتى أهَلَ قَرَى طَعِمَ أهَلَ أَبَى ضَافَ وَجَدَ جَدُرَ رَادَ نقض قَامَ قَالَ شَأَن أَخَذَ أَجَرَ


Then, they both started (begin) the journey. Until they reached the inhabitants of a town, they asked for food from its people, and they denied hospitality to them. Then he found a wall headed for a fall (collapse) and resurrected (restored) it. He (Musa) said, “If you wanted, you could have asked for wages from them. (NOTE FOR LESSON. Remember to use your knowledge and put it into action. The wall was restored).

As for the boat, it belongs to poor people. They were trading in the sea, and I desired to make it defective because a king was coming to take away every boat by force behind them.

As for the youth, their parents were righteous believers, and we feared he would oppress them with transgression and ungratefulness.

فَأَرَدْنَآ So we intended

So, we wished their Rabb would give them (another child) in exchange for being better than him in righteousness and closer in mercy.

جَدُرَ كَانَ غَلِمَ يتم فِي مدن كَانَ تحْت كَنَزَ كَانَ أَب صَلَحَ رَادَ رَبَّ بلغ شَدَّ خرج كَنَزَ رَحِمَ رَبَّ فَعَلَ أمر اول طَاعَ صَبَرَ


And about the wall, it belonged to two young orphans of the town. And below it, there was a treasure for them. And their father was righteous. So, your Rabb Desired that when they reach maturity, they bring out their treasure as a mercy from your Rabb. And I did not do that from my command (order). That is the interpretation of what you could not keep patience.”

وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ And they ask you

And they ask you about the two-horned (A man with a helmet of two horns could be identified with Alexander the Great). Say, “I will tell you about him as a remembrance.”

بلغ غَرَبَ شَمَسَ وَجَدَ غَرَبَ فِي عين حَمَإٍ وَجَدَ عَنَدَ قَامَ قَالَ عَذُبَ أَخَذَ فِي حَسَنَ


When he reached the sunset, he found it set down in a hot spring, and there, he found a nation. We said, “O ZulQarnain, either you can punish or take them (can help them) in kindness.”

18:87

He said, “As for him, who is unjust, we will punish him, then he will be returned to his Rabb, and He will punish him an unknown (grievous) punishment.”

“But for him who believed and did righteous deeds is the excellent reward, and we will tell him our command to be easy (We will make our orders easy on him).

Until, when he reached the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a nation that We Did not make a covering (shade) for them.

كَذَٰلِكَ Thus

When he reached between the two obstructions, he found another nation. They almost did not understand a word.

They said, “O ZulQarnain, Yajooj, and Majooj cause corruption in the land. Can we set a price for you (a land tax) on a condition that you make between them and us an obstruction?”

قَالَ مَكُنَ فِي رَبَّ خَيرَ عَانَ قَوِيَ جعل بَا نَ بَا نَ رَدَمَ


He said, “What my Rabb has given me power is best (no tax on you), but help me with troops, and I will make a dam between you and them.”

أتى زُبْر حَدَّ سوِي بَا نَ صَدَقَ قَالَ نَفَخَ جعل نَار قَالَ أتى فَرَغَ قَطَرَ


"Bring me plates of iron." So, when they become equal (level) between them, and they coincide (leveled) with each other, he said, "Blow until became fire." He said, "Bring me tar to empty on it."

اسْطَاعُوٓاْ they were able

He said, “This is mercy from my Rabb. Then (but) when the promise of my Rabb comes, He will make it flattened (leveled), and the promise of (appointment set by) my Rabb is a reality.”

18:99


وَتَرَكْنَا And We (will) leave

ترك بَعَضَ مَاجَ فِي بَعَضَ نَفَخَ فِي صَارَ جَمَعَ جَمَعَ


On that Day, We will leave some of them surging over others. And the Trumpet will be blown, and We Will gather them together.

وَعَرَضْنَا And We (will) present

On that Day, We will display Hell to the ungrateful; all visible (displayed, really happening).

Those whose eyes were covered (closed) to remember Me and they were incapable of listening (paying attention).

أَفَحَسِبَ Do then think?

نُزُلًا (as) a lodging

١٠٢

حَسَبَ كَفَرَ أَخَذَ عَبَدَ دُون وَلِيَ عَتُدَ كَفَرَ نَزَلَ


Do those who betray ungratefully consider that they will take My slaves other than Me as supporters? We have prepared Hell for the ungrateful as a place to lodge (stay).

Say, “Shall We inform you about the lost deeds?”

“Those who lost their way in the course of the life of this world, while they consider that they are doing well (they thought they are given advantages in getting benefits and favors).”

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those

الَّذِينَ (are) the ones who

الْقِيَامَةِ (of) the Resurrection

كَفَرَ آ ىي -آية رَبَّ لقِي حَبَطَ عَمِلَ قَامَ يوْم قَامَ وزن


Those who betray ungratefully to signs of their Rabb and (deny) meeting Him. We will not let their acts hold any weight for them on the Day of Standing. (Those are the ones who disbelieved in the signs of their Rabb and His meeting, so their deeds were worthless, so we will not assign any weight to them on the Day of Resurrection).

ذَٰلِكَ That

جَزَآؤُهُمْ (is) their recompense

وَاتَّخَذُوا and took

هُزُوًا (in) ridicule

جَزَى كَفَرَ أَخَذَ آ ىي -آية رَسِلَ هزِىء


Hell, that will be their punishment for being ungrateful and mocking My Ayats-signs and messengers.

أَ مُنَ عَمِلَ صَلَحَ كَانَ جنّ نَزَلَ


Those who believe and do righteous deeds will be provided with the Gardens of Paradise as a place to lodge (stay as an occupant).

Say, “If the oceans were ink (to write) the words (to describe His Glorious systems and benefits that you receive from His Mercy) of my Rabb, the ocean would be exhausted, before exhausting words of (mercy, benefits, the kindness of) my Rabb,” even if We bring another ocean like it in help.

قَالَ بشر مَثَلَ وَحَى إِله إِله أحد كَانَ رَجَعَ لقِي رَبَّ عَمِلَ عَمِلَ صَلَحَ شَرِكَ عَبَدَ رَبَّ أحد


Say, “I am only a human being like you; I am inspired that your God is only one God. Whoever desires to meet his Rabb should do righteous deeds and should never make partner in worship to Him, anyone.”
