لَآ Nay!
(نہیں)بلکہ

NA لَآ أُقْسِمُ I swear
میں قسم کھاتا ہوں

قَسَمَ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ by (the) Day
ساتھ دن
biyawmi
ي و م
يوْم بِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ (of) the Resurrection
قیامت کے
alqiyamati
ق و م
قَامَ الْقِيَامَةِ ١

قَسَمَ يوْم قَامَ

No! I take the Oath of the Day of Standing.

75:2

وَلَآ And nay!
اور(نہیں)بلکہ
Wala

NA وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ I swear
میں قسم کھاتا ہوں

قَسَمَ أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ by the soul
ساتھ نفس و جان کے
bialnnafsi
ن ف س
نفُس بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ self-accusing
بہت ملامت کرنے والے
allawwamati
ل و م
لَامَ اللَّوَّامَةِ ٢

قَسَمَ نفُس لَامَ

And no! I take the Oath of the soul of the self-blamed.

75:3

أَيَحْسَبُ Does think?
کیا گمان کرتا ہے؟
Ayahsabu

حَسَبَ Calculate , Count , Opinion أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنسَانُ [the] man
انسان

أَنِسَ الْإِنسَانُ أَلَّن that not
کہ نہیں
allan

NA أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ We will assemble
ہم جمع کر پائیں گے
najmaAAa
ج م ع
جَمَعَ Gather , Collect نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ his bones
اس کی ہڈیاں
AAithamahu
ع ظ م
عَظُمَ عِظَامَهُۥ ٣

حَسَبَ أَنِسَ جَمَعَ عَظُمَ

Does the man think that We will not collect his bones?

75:4

بَلَىٰ Nay!
ہاں (کیوں نہیں)
Bala

NA بَلَىٰ قَادِرِينَ (We are) Able
قدرت رکھتے ہیں (ہم تو)

قدر قَادِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ on
اوپر(اس کےبھی)
AAala

NA عَلَىٰٓ أَن that
کہ

NA أَن نُّسَوِّىَ We can restore
ہو بہوبنا سکتے ہیں ہم
nusawwiya
س و ي
سَوِيَ نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُ his fingertips

bananahu
ب ن ن
بَنَا نْ Fingertips بَنَانَهُ ٤

قدر سَوِيَ بَنَا نْ

Yes indeed! We can straighten (arrange even) his fingertips (Human fingerprints are detailed, nearly unique, difficult to alter, and durable over an individual's life, making them suitable as long-term markers of human identity Ref. Wikipedia).

75:5

بَلْ Nay!
(نہیں) بلکہ
Bal

NA بَلْ يُرِيدُ Desires
چاہتا ہے

ر و د
رَادَ يُرِيدُ الْإِنسَانُ [the] man
انسان
alinsanu
أ ن س
أَنِسَ الْإِنسَانُ لِيَفْجُرَ to give (the) lie

liyafjura
ف ج ر
فجر لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ (to) what is before him
آئندہ بھی اس کے
amamahu
أ م م
أمّ أَمَامَهُۥ ٥

رَادَ أَنِسَ فجر أمّ

But the man desires to sin what is in front of him (looks for a present reward and does not think that the results of his deeds will come back).

75:6

يَسْـَٔلُ He asks
(اس پر) پوچھتا ہے
Yasalu
س أ ل
سأل Ask, Demand , Request , Begging يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ When?
کب ؟
ayyana

NA أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ (is the) Day
دن
yawmu
ي و م
يوْم يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ (of) the Resurrection
قیامت کا
alqiyamati
ق و م
قَامَ الْقِيَامَةِ ٦

سأل يوْم قَامَ

He asks, “When is the Day of Standing (final judgment)?”

75:7

فَإِذَا So when
پس جب
Faitha

NA فَإِذَا بَرِقَ is dazzled
پتھرا جائے گی

برق Lightning , Flash, Shining, بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُ the vision
نظرونگاہ

ب ص ر
بصُر See , Eyes, Eyesight, Understand الْبَصَرُ ٧

برق بصُر

Then with the twinkling of the eye.

75:8

وَخَسَفَ And becomes dark
اوربےنور ہو جائے گا

خَسَفَ Sink , Disappear وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُ the moon
چاند

قَمَرَ الْقَمَرُ ٨

خَسَفَ قَمَرَ

And the moon will sink.

وَجُمِعَ And are joined

جَمَعَ Gather , Collect وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ the sun

شَمَسَ Sun , Sunrise , Bright الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ and the moon
اورچاند

ق م ر
قَمَرَ وَالْقَمَرُ ٩

جَمَعَ شَمَسَ قَمَرَ

And the sun and the moon will be united.

75:10

يَقُولُ Will say
کہیں گے

قَالَ يَقُولُ الْإِنسَانُ [the] man
انسان

أ ن س
أَنِسَ الْإِنسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day
اس دن
yawmaithin

NA يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ Where?
ہےکدھروکہیں ؟
ayna

NA أَيْنَ الْمَفَرُّ (is) the escape
بھاگنے کی کوئی جگہ
almafarru
ف ر ر
فَرَّ الْمَفَرُّ ١٠

قَالَ أَنِسَ فَرَّ

On the Day, humankind will say, “Where is the escape?”

75:11

كَلَّا By no means!
ہرگز نہیں !
Kalla

NA كَلَّا لَا (There is) no

NA لَا وَزَرَ refuge

وَزَرَ وَزَرَ ١١

وَزَرَ

No indeed! Nobody took responsibility for his deeds (nobody to help).

75:12

إِلَىٰ To
طرف
Ila

NA إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ your Lord
تیرےرب کے
rabbika
ر ب ب
رَبَّ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day
اس دن (ہو گا)
yawmaithin

NA يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمُسْتَقَرُّ (is) the place of rest
ٹھکانہ
almustaqarru
ق ر ر
قَرَّ الْمُسْتَقَرُّ ١٢

رَبَّ قَرَّ

Towards his Rabb on that Day is the final dwelling (final resting place).

75:13

يُنَبَّؤُا Will be informed
باور کرادیا جائے گا
Yunabbao
ن ب أ
نبأ يُنَبَّؤُا الْإِنسَانُ [the] man
انسان کو

أ ن س
أَنِسَ الْإِنسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day
اس دن
yawmaithin

NA يَوْمَئِذٍ بِمَا of what
ساتھ اس کےجو
bima

NA بِمَا قَدَّمَ he sent forth
آگے بھیجا
qaddama
ق د م
قَدَمَ قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ and kept back
اور(جو)پیچھے چھوڑا
waakhkhara
أ خ ر
أخر Last , Recent , Another , Postpone وَأَخَّرَ ١٣

نبأ أَنِسَ قَدَمَ أخر

On that day, the man will be informed about what he has sent forward and what he has left behind.

75:14

بَلِ Nay!
(نہیں) بلکہ
Bali

NA بَلِ الْإِنسَانُ [The] man
انسان

أ ن س
أَنِسَ الْإِنسَانُ عَلَىٰ against
اوپر
AAala

NA عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ himself
خودنفس اس کے
nafsihi
ن ف س
نفُس نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ (will be) a witness
خوب دیکھنے والا ہے
baseeratun
ب ص ر
بصُر See , Eyes, Eyesight, Understand بَصِيرَةٌ ١٤

أَنِسَ نفُس بصُر

But the man, on his own, realizes.

75:15

وَلَوْ Even if
اور اگرچہ
Walaw

NA وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ he presents
وہ پیش کرے

لقِي أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ his excuses

maAAatheerahu
ع ذ ر
عَذَرَ Excuse , Forgive , Plea , Virgin مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ ١٥

لقِي عَذَرَ

And wishes to submit his excuses.

75:16

لَا Not
مت
La

NA لَا تُحَرِّكْ move
تو حرکت دے
tuharrik
ح ر ك
حَرِك Movement , Motion تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ with it
ساتھ اس(قرآن) کے
bihi

NA بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ your tongue
تیری زبان کو
lisanaka
ل س ن
لَسِنَ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ to hasten
تاکہ جلدی (یاد)کرلے تو
litaAAjala
ع ج ل
عَجِلَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ with it
ساتھ اس کے
bihi

NA بِهِۦٓ ١٦

حَرِك لَسِنَ عَجِلَ

Do not move (to vocalize) with your tongue to expedite (learning).

75:17

إِنَّ Indeed
یقیناً
Inna

NA إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا upon Us
اوپر(ہے)ہمارے
AAalayna

NA عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ (is) its collection
اس کا جمع کرنا
jamAAahu
ج م ع
جَمَعَ Gather , Collect جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْآنَهُۥ and its recitation

waquranahu
ق ر أ
قَرَأَ وَقُرْآنَهُۥ ١٧

جَمَعَ قَرَأَ

Indeed, Its collection and its recitation are on Us.

75:18

فَإِذَا And when
پھر جب
Faitha

NA فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ We have recited it
ہم پڑھیں اسے

قَرَأَ قَرَأْنَاهُ فَاتَّبِعْ then follow
تو پیروی کر
faittabiAA
ت ب ع
تبِع فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُۥ its recitation
اس کے پڑھنے کی

قَرَأَ قُرْآنَهُۥ ١٨

قَرَأَ تبِع قَرَأَ

Then, when it is read, follow (pursue, adhere, to what is) recited.

ثُمَّ Then

Thumma

NA ثُمَّ إِنَّ indeed
یقیناً
inna

NA إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا upon Us
اوپر ہمارے
AAalayna

NA عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ (is) its explanation
وضاحت کردینا اس کا
bayanahu
ب ي ن
بَا نَ Evident , Between بَيَانَهُۥ ١٩

بَا نَ

Then, it is upon Us to make its explanation (evident).

75:20

كَلَّا No!
ہرگز نہیں !
Kalla

NA كَلَّا بَلْ But
بلکہ
bal

NA بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ you love
پسند کرتے ہوتم
tuhibboona
ح ب ب
حَبَّ Love , Want , Like تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ the immediate
(جلدباز) دنیا کو
alAAajilata
ع ج ل
عَجِلَ الْعَاجِلَةَ ٢٠

حَبَّ عَجِلَ

Indeed, you love the faster (life of this world).

75:21

وَتَذَرُونَ And leave
اورچھوڑے ہوئے ہو تم
Watatharoona
و ذ ر
ذَرَا Blow Away , Peak , Refuge وَتَذَرُونَ الْاٰخِرَةَ the Hereafter
آخرت کو
alakhirata
أ خ ر
أخر Last , Recent , Another , Postpone الْاٰخِرَةَ ٢١

ذَرَا أخر

And you leave the Hereafter.

75:22

وُجُوهٌ Faces
بہت سے چہرے
Wujoohun
و ج ه
وَجَهَ وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day
اس دن
yawmaithin

NA يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ (will be) radiant
تروتازہ ہوں گے
nadiratun
ن ض ر
نَضَرَ نَّاضِرَةٌ ٢٢

وَجَهَ نَضَرَ

On that Day, faces will be blooming.

75:23

إِلَىٰ Towards
طرف
Ila

NA إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا their Lord
اس کے(پیارے)رب
rabbiha
ر ب ب
رَبَّ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ looking
دیکھتے ہوں گے
nathiratun
ن ظ ر
نَظَرَ نَاظِرَةٌ ٢٣

رَبَّ نَظَرَ

Towards their Rabb, they will be looking.

75:24

وَوُجُوهٌ And faces
اورکئی چہرے
Wawujoohun
و ج ه
وَجَهَ وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day
اس دن
yawmaithin

NA يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ (will be) distorted
اداس وبے رونق( ہوں گے)
basiratun
ب س ر
بسر Frown, Scowl , بَاسِرَةٌ ٢٤

وَجَهَ بسر

And on that Day, faces will be scowling.

75:25

تَظُنُّ Thinking

Tathunnu

ظَنَّ تَظُنُّ أَن that
کہ

NA أَن يُفْعَلَ will be done
(معاملہ)کیا جائے گا

فَعَلَ يُفْعَلَ بِهَا to them
ساتھ اس کے

NA بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ backbreaking
کمر توڑ دینے والا
faqiratun
ف ق ر
فَقَرَ فَاقِرَةٌ ٢٥

ظَنَّ فَعَلَ فَقَرَ

Realizing that he would be acted upon by poverty-stricken (impoverished).

75:26

كَلَّآ No!
ہرگز نہیں!
Kalla

NA كَلَّآ إِذَا When
جب

NA إِذَا بَلَغَتِ it reaches
پہنچ جائے گی( جان)

بلغ بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ the collar bones
ہنسلی کی ہڈی تک
alttaraqiya

تَرَاق Collarbone التَّرَاقِيَ ٢٦

بلغ تَرَاق

Indeed not, when it reaches his collarbone.

75:27

وَقِيلَ And it is said
اور کہا جائے گا
Waqeela
ق و ل
قَالَ وَقِيلَ مَنْ Who?
کوئی ہے
man

NA مَنْ رَاقٍ (will) cure
جھاڑ پھونک کرنے والا
raqin
ر ق ي
رَقَّ رَاقٍ ٢٧

قَالَ رَقَّ

And it is said, “Who is compassionate?” (who can save a life?)

75:28

وَظَنَّ And he is certain
اورسمجھ جائے گا
Wathanna
ظ ن ن
ظَنَّ وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ that it
کہ یہ(وقت ہے)
annahu

NA أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ (is) the parting
جدائی کا
alfiraqu
ف ر ق
فرق الْفِرَاقُ ٢٨

ظَنَّ فرق

And he realizes that he is in separation.

وَالْتَفَّتِ And is wound
اورلپٹ جائے گی
Wailtaffati
ل ف ف
لفت وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ the leg
پنڈلی
alssaqu
س و ق
سَاقَ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ about the leg
پنڈلی کے ساتھ
bialssaqi
س و ق
سَاقَ بِالسَّاقِ ٢٩

لفت سَاقَ سَاقَ

And the leg is entwined with another leg.

75:30

إِلَىٰ To
طرف
Ila

NA إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ your Lord
تیرےرب کے
rabbika
ر ب ب
رَبَّ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day
اس دن (ہے)
yawmaithin

NA يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ (will be) the driving
چلے جانا
almasaqu
س و ق
سَاقَ الْمَسَاقُ ٣٠

رَبَّ سَاقَ

To your Rabb, on that Day will be the drive.

75:31

فَلَا And not

Fala

NA فَلَا صَدَّقَ he accepted (the) truth
تصدیق کی اس نے
saddaqa
ص د ق
صَدَقَ صَدَّقَ وَلَا and not
اور نہ
wala

NA وَلَا صَلَّىٰ he prayed
نمازپڑھی
salla
ص ل و
صلو صَلَّىٰ ٣١

صَدَقَ صلو

He neither gave charity nor prayed.

75:32

وَلَٰكِن But
اور لیکن
Walakin

NA وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ he denied

kaththaba
ك ذ ب
كَذَبَ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ and turned away
اور منْہ پھیرلیا
watawalla
و ل ي
وَلِيَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ٣٢

كَذَبَ وَلِيَ

And but he lied and turned away.

75:33

ثُمَّ Then
پھر
Thumma

NA ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ he went
چل دیا
thahaba
ذ ه ب
ذهب Go Away , Depart , Gold , ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ to
طرف
ila

NA إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ his family
اس کے اہل خانہ
ahlihi
أ ه ل
أهَلَ Family , Worthiness أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ swaggering
اتراتا ہوا
yatamatta
م ط و
NF يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ ٣٣

ذهب أهَلَ NF

Then he went to his family, stretching (expanding himself in admiring).

75:34

أَوْلَىٰ Woe
افسوس ہے
Awla
و ل ي
وَلِيَ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ to you
تیرے لیے
laka

NA لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ and woe!
پھر صدافسوس ہے
faawla
و ل ي
وَلِيَ فَأَوْلَىٰ ٣٤

وَلِيَ وَلِيَ

Woe to you and your suffering.

75:35

ثُمَّ Then
پھر
Thumma

NA ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ woe
تباہی و ہلاکت ہے
awla
و ل ي
وَلِيَ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ to you
تیرے لیے
laka

NA لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ and woe!
پھر ہلاکت وتباہی ہے
faawla
و ل ي
وَلِيَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ ٣٥

وَلِيَ وَلِيَ

Then again: woe to you and your suffering.

أَيَحْسَبُ Does think?

NA أَن يُتْرَكَ he will be left
چھوڑدیا جائے گا

ترك يُتْرَكَ سُدًى neglected

سدّى سُدًى ٣٦

حَسَبَ أَنِسَ ترك سدّى

Does the man think he will be left in vain (unaccountable, useless)?

أَلَمْ Was not?
کیا نہیں تھا؟

NA أَلَمْ يَكُ he

كَانَ يَكُ نُطْفَةً a semen-drop

نَطَفَ Dribble , Trickle , Drop , Sperm نُطْفَةً مِّن of

NA مِّن مَّنِىٍّۢ semen

manayyin
م ن ي
مَنَا مَّنِىٍّۢ يُمْنَىٰ emitted

yumna
م ن ي
مَنَا يُمْنَىٰ ٣٧

كَانَ نَطَفَ مَنَا مَنَا

Is it not that he is a drop of emitting semen?

75:38

ثُمَّ Then
پھر
Thumma

NA ثُمَّ كَانَ he was
ہو گیا

ك و ن
كَانَ كَانَ عَلَقَةً a clinging substance

AAalaqatan

عَلِقَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ then He created
پھر اس نے پیدا کیا
fakhalaqa
خ ل ق
خَلَقَ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ and proportioned
پھر تناسب درست کردیا
fasawwa
س و ي
سَوِيَ فَسَوَّىٰ ٣٨

كَانَ عَلِقَ خَلَقَ سَوِيَ

Then he became a clot. And He shaped and proportionated?

75:39

فَجَعَلَ Then made
پھر بنا دیں
FajaAAala
ج ع ل
جعل Make , Create, Bring, Give, Grant, فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ of him
اس سے
minhu

NA مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ two kinds
دو قسمیں
alzzawjayni
ز و ج
زَاجَ Pair , Couple الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ (the) male
نر
alththakara
ذ ك ر
ذَكّرَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰٓ and the female
اور مادہ
waalontha
أ ن ث
أَنُثَ Feminine, Female, Women , وَالْأُنثَىٰٓ ٣٩

جعل زَاجَ ذَكّرَ أَنُثَ

And created from it the pairs, the male and the female?

75:40

أَلَيْسَ Is not?
کیا نہیں ہے؟
Alaysa
ل ي س
لَيْسَ Nothing , But , Only , Merely أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ [that]
وہ (اللہ)

NA ذَٰلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ (He) Able

قدر بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ [over]
اوپر(اس بات کے)

NA عَلَىٰٓ أَن to

NA أَن يُحْيِىَ give life
زندہ کر دے
yuhyiya
ح ي ي
حي يُحْيِىَ الْمَوْتَىٰ (to) the dead
مُردوں کو
almawta
م و ت
مَاتَ الْمَوْتَىٰ ٤٠

لَيْسَ قدر حي مَاتَ

Is it not so that Who has power on it (to create a man alive) that He gives life to the dead?
