يَاأَيُّهَا O you
اے تم
Yaayyuha

NA يَاأَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ who wraps himself!
کمبل لپیٹنے والے
almuzzammilu
ز م ل
زمل Party , Companion الْمُزَّمِّلُ ١

زمل

O you in the folded garments (the comrade).

قُمِ Stand
قیام کیا کر

قَامَ قُمِ الَّيْلَ (in) the night

لَيْل Night , Nightly , Cover of Darkness الَّيْلَ إِلَّا except
مگر

NA إِلَّا قَلِيلًا a little
تھوڑا

ق ل ل
قَلَّ قَلِيلًا ٢

قَامَ لَيْل قَلَّ

Stand up (to worship Allah) at night, except for a little while.

نِّصْفَهُۥٓ Half of it

نقص انقُصْ مِنْهُ from it

تھوڑا سا

قَلَّ قَلِيلًا ٣

نصف نقص قَلَّ

For half of it or decrease it a little.

زَادَ Supply , Provision , Contractor زِدْ عَلَيْهِ to it

NA عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ and recite
اور پڑھ

رَتِلَ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْاٰنَ the Quran
قرآن کریم

ق ر أ
قَرَأَ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَرْتِيلًا (with) measured rhythmic recitation
ٹھہر ٹھہر کر
tarteelan
ر ت ل
رَتِلَ تَرْتِيلًا ٤

زَادَ رَتِلَ قَرَأَ رَتِلَ

Or increase on it, and read the Al-Quran slowly and distinctly.

إِنَّا Indeed We
یقینی طور پر ہم

NA إِنَّا سَنُلْقِى We will cast

NA عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا a Word

قَالَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا heavy

ثقل ثَقِيلًا ٥

لقِي قَالَ ثقل

Very soon, we will impart upon you weighty teachings and doctrines.

إِنَّ Indeed
بلا شبہ

NA إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ (the) rising
اٹھنا

نَشَأَ نَاشِئَةَ الَّيْلِ (at) the night
رات کا

ل ي ل
لَيْل Night , Nightly , Cover of Darkness الَّيْلِ هِىَ it
یہ
hiya

NA هِىَ أَشَدُّ (is) very hard
زیادہ سخت ہے
ashaddu
ش د د
شَدَّ Very , Very often , firm , strong أَشَدُّ وَطْـئًا and most potent

watan
و ط أ
وَطَأَ وَطْـئًا وَأَقْوَمُ and more suitable
اور زیادہ درست ہے
waaqwamu
ق و م
قَامَ وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا (for) Word
بات(یعنی ذکرکرنے) میں
qeelan
ق و ل
قَالَ قِيلًا ٦

نَشَأَ لَيْل شَدَّ وَطَأَ قَامَ قَالَ

Indeed, the vigil at night prepares one better to understand. (Quran).

إِنَّ Indeed

NA إِنَّ لَكَ for you
تیرے لیے

بیچ ۔ میں

فِي فِى النَّهَارِ the day
دن کے

نهر النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا (is) occupation
مصروفیت ہے
sabhan

سبح سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا prolonged
طویل
taweelan
ط و ل
طَالَ طَوِيلًا ٧

فِي نهر سبح طَالَ

Indeed, in the morning, you have a long day ahead of you.

وَاذْكُرِ And remember

Waothkuri

ذَكّرَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ (the) name
نام

سَمِي اسْمَ رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord
تیرےرب کا
rabbika
ر ب ب
رَبَّ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ and devote yourself
اور توجہ رکھ تو
watabattal
ب ت ل
بَتَلَ Cut Off, Devote Oneself to God, Virgin وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ to Him
اسی کی طرف
ilayhi

NA إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا (with) devotion

بَتَلَ Cut Off, Devote Oneself to God, Virgin تَبْتِيلًا ٨

ذَكّرَ سَمِي رَبَّ بَتَلَ بَتَلَ

So, remember the name of your Rabb and devote yourself to Him in complete devotedness.

رَّبُّ (The) Lord

رَبَّ رَّبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ (of) the east

شَرَقَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ and the west
اور مغرب کا

غَرَبَ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَآ (there is) no

NA لَآ إِلَٰهَ god

ilaha
أ ل ه
إِله god إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا except
مگر
illa

NA إِلَّا هُوَ Him
وہی
huwa

NA هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ so take Him
پس بنا لےتو اس کو
faittakhithhu
أ خ ذ
أَخَذَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا (as) Disposer of Affairs
وکیل ۔کار ساز
wakeelan
و ك ل
وَكَلَ وَكِيلًا ٩

رَبَّ شَرَقَ غَرَبَ إِله أَخَذَ وَكَلَ

Rabb of the East and West. There is no god except Him, so hold on to Him as A Supporter.

73:10

وَاصْبِرْ And be patient
اور صبر کیے رہ
Waisbir

صَبَرَ وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ over

AAala

NA عَلَىٰ مَا what
اس کےجو
ma

NA مَا يَقُولُونَ they say
(من چاہی)کہتے ہیں وہ

قَالَ يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ and avoid them
اور چھوڑدے انہیں
waohjurhum
ه ج ر
هجر وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا an avoidance
چھوڑ دینا
hajran
ه ج ر
هجر هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا gracious
اچھے طریقے سے
jameelan
ج م ل
جَمَلَ Beautiful , Handsome , Camel جَمِيلًا ١٠

صَبَرَ قَالَ هجر هجر جَمَلَ

And be patient about what they say and separate from them (leave them) with good separation.

73:11

وَذَرْنِى And leave Me

وَزَرَ وَذَرْنِى وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ and the deniers
اور تکذیب کرنے والوں
waalmukaththibeena
ك ذ ب
كَذَبَ وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُوْلِى possessors
صاحبِ
olee
أ و ل
اول أُوْلِى النَّعْمَةِ (of) the ease
نعمت لوگوں سے
alnnaAAmati
ن ع م
نَعَمَ النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ and allow them respite
اور مہلت دےتو ان کو
wamahhilhum
م ه ل
مَهَلَ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا a little
تھوڑی سی
qaleelan
ق ل ل
قَلَّ قَلِيلًا ١١

وَزَرَ كَذَبَ اول نَعَمَ مَهَلَ قَلَّ

And leave Me and the deniers, the recipients of blessings, and give them a little respite. (Allah has granted them the comforts of life, yet they don't acknowledge it and are ungrateful).

73:12

إِنَّ Indeed
بلاشبہ
Inna

NA إِنَّ لَدَيْنَآ with Us
ہمارے پاس
ladayna
ل د ى
لدى لَدَيْنَآ أَنكَالًا (are) shackles
بیڑیاں ہیں
ankalan
ن ك ل
نَكَلَ أَنكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا and burning fire
اوربڑھکتی ہوئی آگ
wajaheeman
ج ح م
جحم hellish , Kindle, Hellfire, Fire وَجَحِيمًا ١٢

لدى نَكَلَ جحم

Indeed, We have chains and hellfire.

وَطَعَامًا And food
اور کھانا ہے
WataAAaman

طَعِمَ وَطَعَامًا ذَا that
رکھنےوالا
tha

NA ذَا غُصَّةٍ chokes

ghussatin

NF غُصَّةٍ وَعَذَابًا and a punishment
اور عذاب
waAAathaban
ع ذ ب
عَذُبَ وَعَذَابًا أَلِيمًا painful
بہت دردناک
aleeman
أ ل م
أَ لِمَ Pain , Hurt , Suffer أَلِيمًا ١٣

طَعِمَ NF عَذُبَ أَ لِمَ

And food that will choke and painful punishment.

يَوْمَ (On the) Day

يوْم يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ will quake
لرزہ طاری ہوگا

رجف Tremble , Shake , Shiver, Trumpet تَرْجُفُ الْأَرْضُ the earth
زمین

أَ رَضْ Land, Area, Region , Earth , Country الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ and the mountains
اور پہاڑوں پر
waaljibalu
ج ب ل
جبل وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ and will become
اور ہوجائیں گے
wakanati
ك و ن
كَانَ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ the mountains
سارےپہاڑ
aljibalu
ج ب ل
جبل الْجِبَالُ كَثِيبًا a heap of sand
ریت کے ٹیلے
katheeban

كَثَرَ Many , Numerous , More , Multiply كَثِيبًا مَّهِيلًا pouring down
بھربھرے
maheelan
ه ي ل
مَهَلَ مَّهِيلًا ١٤

يوْم رجف أَ رَضْ جبل كَانَ جبل كَثَرَ مَهَلَ

On the Day when the earth will be shaken, the mountains will be like piled-up dunes.

إِنَّآ Indeed We
بیشک ہم

NA إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَآ [We] have sent
ہم نے بھیجا

رَسِلَ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ to you
تمہاری طرف
ilaykum

NA إِلَيْكُمْ رَسُولًا a Messenger
ایک رسول
rasoolan

رَسِلَ رَسُولًا شَاهِدًا (as) a witness
گواہی دینے والا
shahidan
ش ه د
شَهِدَ شَاهِدًا عَلَيْكُمْ upon you
اوپر تمہارے
AAalaykum

NA عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَآ as
جیسا کہ
kama

NA كَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَآ We sent
ہم نے بھیجا تھا
arsalna
ر س ل
رَسِلَ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰ to
طرف
ila

NA إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun
فرعون کے
firAAawna

NA فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولًا a Messenger
رسول
rasoolan
ر س ل
رَسِلَ رَسُولًا ١٥

رَسِلَ رَسِلَ شَهِدَ رَسِلَ رَسِلَ

Indeed, We sent you (O humankind) a messenger (Mohammad ﷴ, ﷺ) on you (to humanity) as a witness, like We sent a messenger to Firon.

73:16

فَعَصَىٰ But disobeyed
پھرنافرمانی کردی

عَصَى Disobey , Resist , Defy فَعَصَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ Firaun
فرعون نے
firAAawnu

NA فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُولَ the Messenger
رسول کی
alrrasoola
ر س ل
رَسِلَ الرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ so We seized him
پس ہم نے پکڑلیااسے
faakhathnahu
أ خ ذ
أَخَذَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ أَخْذًا (with) a seizure
پکڑنا
akhthan
أ خ ذ
أَخَذَ أَخْذًا وَبِيلًا ruinous
نہایت سخت وبال میں
wabeelan
و ب ل
وَابِل وَبِيلًا ١٦

عَصَى رَسِلَ أَخَذَ أَخَذَ وَابِل

But Firon disobeyed the Messenger, so We seized him with a hold due to evil deeds.

73:17

فَكَيْفَ Then how?
پھر کیسے؟

كَيدَ فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُونَ will you guard yourselves
تم بچو گے

تقى تَتَّقُونَ إِن if
اگر
in

NA إِن كَفَرْتُمْ you disbelieve
نافرمانی کردو گے تم
kafartum
ك ف ر
كَفَرَ كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا a Day
اس دن(کےعذاب سے جو)
yawman
ي و م
يوْم يَوْمًا يَجْعَلُ (that) will make
بنا کر رکھ دے گا
yajAAalu
ج ع ل
جعل Make , Create, Bring, Give, Grant, يَجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ the children
بچوں کو
alwildana
و ل د
وَلَدَ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيبًا gray-haired
بوڑھا
sheeban
ش ي ب
شَابَ Gray Hair , Old Age شِيبًا ١٧

كَيدَ تقى كَفَرَ يوْم جعل وَلَدَ شَابَ

So how can you fear a day that will turn gray hair on children if you disbelieve?

73:18

السَّمَآءُ The heaven
آسمان
Alssamao
س م و
سَمِي السَّمَآءُ مُنفَطِرٌ (will) break apart
پھٹ جائے گا

فَطَرَ مُنفَطِرٌ بِهِۦ therefrom
بسبب اس کے
bihi

NA بِهِۦ كَانَ is
(یہ)ہے
kana
ك و ن
كَانَ كَانَ وَعْدُهُۥ His Promise
اس کاوعدہ
waAAduhu
و ع د
وَعَدَ وَعْدُهُۥ مَفْعُولًا to be fulfilled
ہو کر رہنے والا
mafAAoolan
ف ع ل
فَعَلَ مَفْعُولًا ١٨

سَمِي فَطَرَ كَانَ وَعَدَ فَعَلَ

The sky will split open on this (day). His promise will be done.

إِنَّ Indeed

Inna

NA إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ this
یہ (قرآن)
hathihi

NA هَٰذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ (is) a Reminder
ایک نصیحت ہے
tathkiratun
ذ ك ر
ذَكّرَ تَذْكِرَةٌ فَمَن then whoever
پھر جو کوئی
faman

NA فَمَن شَآءَ wills
چاہے
shaa
ش ي أ
شِاءَ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ (let him) take
بنا لے
ittakhatha
أ خ ذ
أَخَذَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ to
طرف
ila

NA إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ his Lord
اس کے رب
rabbihi
ر ب ب
رَبَّ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا a way
کوئی راستہ
sabeelan
س ب ل
سَبَلَ Way , Road , Access , Way سَبِيلًا ١٩

ذَكّرَ شِاءَ أَخَذَ رَبَّ سَبَلَ

This is a remembrance. So, whoever desires, let him hold this (Book for Guidance) as a path to his Rabb.

إِنَّ Indeed

NA إِنَّ رَبَّكَ your Lord

علِم يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ that you
بیشک تو!

NA أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ stand
قیام کرتا ہے تو

قَامَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَىٰ (a little) less

دَنَا أَدْنَىٰ مِن than
میں سے

NA مِن ثُلُثَىِ two-thirds
دو تہائی

ثَلًثَ one third , three ثُلُثَىِ الَّيْلِ (of) the night
رات کے

ل ي ل
لَيْل Night , Nightly , Cover of Darkness الَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَهُۥ and half of it
اور کبھی نصف اس کا
wanisfahu
ن ص ف
نصف وَنِصْفَهُۥ وَثُلُثَهُۥ and a third of it

ثَلًثَ one third , three وَثُلُثَهُۥ وَطَآئِفَةٌ and (so do) a group
اور ایک گروہ

ط و ف
طَافَ وَطَآئِفَةٌ مِّنَ of
میں سے
mina

NA مِّنَ الَّذِينَ those who
ان لوگوں کےجو
allatheena

NA الَّذِينَ مَعَكَ (are) with you
تیرے ہمراہ وساتھ ہیں
maAAaka

NA مَعَكَ وَٱللّٰهُ And Allah
اوراللہ
waAllahu
أ ل ه
إِلَٰه God, Deity وَٱللّٰهُ يُقَدِّرُ determines
اندازہ رکھتا ہے

ق د ر
قدر يُقَدِّرُ الَّيْلَ the night
رات

ل ي ل
لَيْل Night , Nightly , Cover of Darkness الَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ and the day
اور دن کا
waalnnahara
ن ه ر
نهر وَالنَّهَارَ عَلِمَ He knows
بھانپ لیا ہے

علِم عَلِمَ أَن that
کہ

NA أَن لَّن not
ہرگز نہیں

NA لَّن تُحْصُوهُ you count it
تم نباہ کر سکو گےاس کو

حَصَ Share , Part , Quota تُحْصُوهُ فَتَابَ so He has turned
لہذا اس نے مہربانی کی

تاب Repent, Renounce, Merciful, Forgive, فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ to you
اوپر تمہارے

NA عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْرَءُوا so recite
پس تلاوت کیا کروتم

قَرَأَ فَاقْرَءُوا مَا what
جو کہ
ma

NA مَا تَيَسَّرَ is easy
آسان ہو

يَسَرَ تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ of
میں سے

NA مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِ the Quran
قرآن

قَرَأَ الْقُرْاٰنِ عَلِمَ He knows
وہ جانتا ہے

علِم عَلِمَ أَن that
کہ

NA أَن سَيَكُونُ there will be
عنقریب ہوں گے

كَانَ سَيَكُونُ مِنكُم among you
تم میں سے

NA مِنكُم مَّرْضَىٰ sick
کچھ بیمار

م ر ض
مَرِضَ مَّرْضَىٰ وَآخَرُونَ and others
اورکچھ دوسرے
waakharoona
أ خ ر
أخر Last , Recent , Another , Postpone وَآخَرُونَ يَضْرِبُونَ traveling
وہ سفر کرتے ہیں

ضَرَبَ يَضْرِبُونَ فِى in
بیچ ۔ میں
fee

فِي فِى الْأَرْضِ the land
زمین کے
alardi
أ ر ض
أَ رَضْ Land, Area, Region , Earth , Country الْأَرْضِ يَبْتَغُونَ seeking
وہ تلاش کرتے ہیں
yabtaghoona
ب غ ي
بغى يَبْتَغُونَ مِن of
میں سے
min

NA مِن فَضْلِ (the) Bounty

فَضَلَ فَضْلِ اللهِ (of) Allah
اللہ کے

إِله god اللهِ وَآخَرُونَ and others
اورکچھ اورہیں

وہ لڑتے ہیں

فِي فِى سَبِيلِ (the) way

NA مَا تَيَسَّرَ is easy
آسان ہو

NA مِنْهُ وَأَقِيمُوا and establish
اورقائم رکھوتم

قَامَ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer

صلو الصَّلَوٰةَ وَآتُوا and give
اور دوتم

أتى Bring, Come, Produce, Achieve, وَآتُوا الزَّكَوٰةَ the zakah
زکوة

زَكَى الزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَقْرِضُوا and loan
اور قرض دوتم
waaqridoo
ق ر ض
قَرَضَ وَأَقْرِضُوا اللهَ Allah
اللہ کو
Allaha
أ ل ه
إِلَٰه God, Deity اللهَ قَرْضًا a loan
قرضِ
qardan
ق ر ض
قَرَضَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا goodly
حسنۃ
hasanan
ح س ن
حَسَنَ Good , Beautiful , Nice حَسَنًا وَمَا And whatever
اور جو
wama

NA وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا you send forth
تم آگےبھیجوگے
tuqaddimoo

قَدَمَ تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُم for yourselves

رَحِمَ Merciful , Compassionate رَّحِيمٌ ٢٠

رَبَّ علِم قَامَ دَنَا ثَلًثَ لَيْل نصف ثَلًثَ طَافَ إِلَٰه قدر لَيْل نهر علِم حَصَ تاب قَرَأَ يَسَرَ قَرَأَ علِم كَانَ مَرِضَ أخر ضَرَبَ فِي أَ رَضْ بغى فَضَلَ إِله أخر قَتَلَ فِي سَبَلَ إِله قَرَأَ يَسَرَ قَامَ صلو أتى زَكَى قَرَضَ إِلَٰه قَرَضَ حَسَنَ قَدَمَ نفُس خَيرَ وَجَدَ عَنَدَ إِله خَيرَ عَظُمَ أَجَرَ غفر إِلَٰه إِلَٰه غفر رَحِمَ

Indeed, your Rabb Knows that you stand lesser from two-thirds of the night, half, or one-third, along with a group of those with you. And Allah predetermines the night and day. He knows that you do not count (He Knows you cannot sustain such long prayer every night), so He accepted your repentance. So, read what is comfortable from the Quran. He knows that some among you are sick; others go on the earth looking for Allah's grace, and others fight in the way of Allah. So, read what is accessible from it, establish prayer, give charity, and give a good loan to Allah. And whatever you sent before for yourselves, you will find it better with Allah and in a greater reward. And ask for forgiveness from Allah. Allah is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
