Indeed, We sent Noah to his nation: “Warn your nation before a painful punishment will come to them.”

(Then he warned his nation) He said, “O my nation, I am (here) for you as a clear Warner.

71:3

Worship Allah and fear Him and follow me.

غفر ذَنْب أخر أجل سَمِي أجل إِله جَاءَ أخر كَانَ علِم
(And) He will forgive you of your sins and delay you up to an appointed term (to allow you to repent). Indeed, when the appointed time from Allah comes, there is no delay if you only knew.”
اللہ تمہارے گناہوں سے درگزر فرمائے گا اور تمہیں ایک وقت مقرر تک باقی رکھے گا حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ کا مقرر کیا ہوا وقت جب آ جاتا ہے تو پھر ٹالا نہیں جاتا کاش تمہیں اِس کا علم ہو"

قَالَ رَبَّ دَعَا قَامَ لَيْل نهر
He said, “O my Rabb, I invited (called to) my nation nights and days.
اُس نے عرض کیا "اے میرے رب، میں نے اپنی قوم کے لوگوں کو شب و روز پکارا
71:6

كُلّ دَعَا غفر جعل صاب أَذن غَشَا ثَابَ صُرَّة كَبَرَ كَبَرَ
And indeed, every time I invited them (to You) for You to forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered (hid) themselves in their clothes, and were persistent and arrogant in haughtiness.
اور جب بھی میں نے اُن کو بلایا تاکہ تو اُنہیں معاف کر دے، انہوں نے کانوں میں انگلیاں ٹھونس لیں اور اپنے کپڑوں سے منہ ڈھانک لیے اور اپنی روش پر اڑ گئے اور بڑا تکبر کیا

Then I invited them openly (in public).

He will send down (the rain) from the sky in rounds (abundance).
وہ تم پر آسمان سے خوب بارشیں برسائے گا

تمہیں مال اور اولاد سے نوازے گا، تمہارے لیے باغ پیدا کرے گا اور تمہارے لیے نہریں جاری کر دے گا

71:18

Then He will return you into it and bring you out to extract (again).
پھر وہ تمہیں اِسی زمین میں واپس لے جائے گا اور اِس سے یکایک تم کو نکال کھڑا کرے گا
71:19

For you to enter upon the passages (paths, ways) in it, (including) the mountain passes.

Noah said, “O my Rabb, indeed, they have disobeyed me, and they have followed him, whose wealth and children increased eternal punishment (perdition, meaning a state of eternal punishment).”
نوحؑ نے کہا، "میرے رب، اُنہوں نے میری بات رد کر دی اور اُن (رئیسوں) کی پیروی کی جو مال اور اولاد پا کر اور زیادہ نامراد ہو گئے ہیں
71:22

مَكَرَ مَكَرَ كَبَرَ
And they deceived (made plots) with great deception (cunningness).
اِن لوگوں نے بڑا بھاری مکر کا جال پھیلا رکھا ہے
71:23

قَالَ وَزَرَ إِله وَزَرَ ودّ سَاعته NF
And they said, “Do not leave your gods and do not leave waddan, nor suan, nor ughousa, nor yaoqa, and nasran.
اِنہوں نے کہا ہرگز نہ چھوڑو اپنے معبودوں کو، اور نہ چھوڑو وَدّ اور سُواع کو، اور نہ یَغُوث اور یَعُوق اور نَسر کو
71:24

And indeed, they misguided many, so the unjust increased (progressed) only falsehood.”
انہوں نے بہت لوگوں کو گمراہ کیا ہے، اور تو بھی اِن ظالموں کو گمراہی کے سوا کسی چیز میں ترقی نہ دے"
71:25

خَطِيءَ غرِق دَخَلَ نَار وَجَدَ دُون إِله نَصَرَ
Because of their mistakes, they were drowned and will be entered into the Fire. They will not find help for them other than Allah.
اپنی خطاؤں کی بنا پر ہی وہ غرق کیے گئے اور آگ میں جھونک دیے گئے، پھر انہوں نے اپنے لیے اللہ سے بچانے والا کوئی مددگار نہ پایا
71:26

اور نوحؑ نے کہا، "میرے رب، اِن کافروں میں سے کوئی زمین پر بسنے والا نہ چھوڑ
71:27
إِنَّكَ Indeed You بلاشبہ تو!
