قٓ Qaf

Qaf

وَالْقُرْآنِ By the Quran

بَلْ Nay

عَجِبُوٓا they wonder

عَجَبَ جَاءَ نَذَرَ قَالَ كَفَرَ شِاءَ عَجَبَ


They were amazed that a warner from their people had come to them. The disbelievers said, "This is indeed a strange thing.”

50:3


أَئِذَا What! When?

Is it then, when we die and become dust (we will be resurrected)? That is a far-fetched claim for a return.

قَدْ Certainly

علِم نقص أَ رَضْ عَنَدَ كَتَبَ حَفِظَ


We Know how Earth reduces them (they die and Earth consumes their bodies), and with Us, We have a protected book (record of every soul who has lived and died, with all details of his deeds recorded and accounted).

50:5


بَلْ Nay

Bal

كَذَّبُوا they denied

But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they became confused in the matter.

أَفَلَمْ Then do not?

نَظَرَ سَمَا فَاقَ كَيدَ بَنَى زَانَ فَرَجَ


Do they not see the sky above them, how We built and decorated it, and there is no breach in this (universe)? (no discontinuity in the universe, and the same physical laws are implemented in all parts of the universe).

50:7


وَالْأَرْضَ And the earth

And the earth, how We made it spread out, and We put mountains in it (without mountains, no rivers, and no water flow for humankind) and grew in them every kind of magnificent pair?

50:8


تَبْصِرَةً Giving insight

Perception and remembrance for every slave who returns (to Allah) time after time (again and again, very often). (person who sees that creation of everything points to Him).

50:9


وَنَزَّلْنَا And We have sent down

نَزَلَ سَمَا مَا ءَ بَرَكَ نَبَتَ جنّ حَبَّ حَصَدَ


And We sent down water from the sky with multiple benefits (uses, applications) and blessings, and We grew with it gardens and stocks of grains for harvest. (Who designed the process of gardening and an agriculture system?).

50:10


وَالنَّخْلَ And the palms trees

50:11


رِزْقًا A provision

لِّلْعِبَادِ for the slaves

وَأَحْيَيْنَا and We give life

بَلْدَةً (to) a land

الْخُرُوجُ (will be) the coming forth

رَزَقَ عَبَدَ حي بَلَدَ مَاتَ خرج


Food for humankind, and with it, We give life to the dead towns. That is how (they) will be brought out (they will emerge from graves).

50:12


كَذَّبَتْ Denied

كَذَبَ قَبِلَ قَامَ صَحِبَ


Before them, the nation of Noah denied the truth, and so did the companions of Russ and Samoud.

وَعَادٌ And Aad

And Aad, Firoun, and the fellow men of Lut.

وَأَصْحَابُ And (the) companions

صَحِبَ قَامَ كُلّ كَذَبَ رَسِلَ حَقَّ عِيد


And companions of Aika (jungle, wood), the nation of Tubba. They all denied the Messengers, So my threat was justified.

أَفَعَيِينَا Were We then tired?

Were We then exhausted (tired) with the first creation? But they are in doubt about a new creation (resurrection).

وَلَقَدْ And certainly

خَلَقَ أَنِسَ علِم وَسْوَسَ نفُس قرُب حَبَلَ ورد


We created humankind and know what wicked suggestions are in his mind. We are closer to him than (his) main artery.

50:17

As the two encounters, the right and the left guardian (angels) will meet.

وَجَآءَتْ And will come

جَاءَ سَكِرَ مَاتَ حَقَّ كَانَ حيد


The intoxication of death becomes a reality (losing consciousness, often before the end, people will lapse into a coma. A coma is a deep state of unconsciousness in which a person cannot be aroused.): Here is (the death) you were trying to avoid.

50:20


وَنُفِخَ And will be blown

And the Horn is blown: “This is the day of the promised.”

وَجَآءَتْ And will come

And every soul will come with a driver and witness (to testify).

لَّقَدْ Certainly

كَانَ فِي غَفَلَ كَشَفَ بصُر يوْم حَدَّ


“You were in neglect of this (day), so, We removed your coverings (opened your eyes) for you, and your eyesight today is sharp.”

50:23


وَقَالَ And (will) say

And his companion (angel) will say, “This is what I have an offer (ready to show your record).”

أَلْقِيَا Throw both of you

“Throw into Hell every ungrateful, stubborn nonbeliever.

Obstructer of the good and ready to doubt.

Who made other gods with Allah; throw him into the severe punishment.”

His associate (Satan) will say, “Our Rabb, I did not make him transgress, But he himself was in a state of misguidance far away from the right path.

50:28


قَالَ He will say

قَالَ خَصَمَ لدى قَدَمَ وَعَدَ


He (Allah) will say, “Do not quarrel in my presence; I already sent you ahead (the news) about the promise (that you will be held accountable for your deeds).

Nothing changes My Words (My decision), and I am not the oppressor of humankind.”

50:30


يَوْمَ (The) Day

On the Day when We will say to Hell, “Are you filled up?” And it will say, “Is there any more?”

وَأُزْلِفَتِ And will be brought near

زَلَفَ جنّ وقى غير بعُد


And the Paradise will be brought closer for the God-fearing, not too far.

وَعَدَ كُلّ أ و ب حَفِظَ


“This is what you were promised for every repenting protector (often returning who guards himself).

مَّنْ Who

الرَّحْمَٰنَ the Most Gracious

خَشَيَ رَحِمَ غَابَ جَاءَ قلب نَابَ


Who is afraid of the Invisible, the Merciful, and came with the repenting heart.

ادْخُلُوهَا Enter it

بِسَلَامٍ in peace

ذَٰلِكَ That

يَوْمُ (is) a Day

الْخُلُودِ (of) Eternity

دَخَلَ سلِم يوْم خَلَدَ


Enter it in peace. This is the Day (Time) of the Everlasting.”

هَلَكَ قَبِلَ قرن شَدَّ بطش نقب فِي بَلَدَ حَاصَ


How many generations have We destroyed before them? They were stronger than them, and they explored (invaded) the cities. Is there any place (for them) to escape (now)?

فِي ذَكّرَ كَانَ قلب لقِي سَمَعَ شَهِدَ


Indeed, this is a remembrance for whoever has a heart or willing ears to listen, and he is a witness (Allah is One, and there is no partner for Him).

50:38


وَلَقَدْ And certainly

Walaqad

خَلَقْنَا We created

خَلَقَ سما أَ رَضْ بَا نَ فِي سِتَّة يوْم مسّ


And certainly, We created the universe and the earth, and what is in between them in six periods, and no fatigue touched Us.

50:39


فَاصْبِرْ So be patient

صَبَرَ قَالَ سبح رَبَّ قَبِلَ طَلَعَ شَمَسَ قَبِلَ غَرَبَ


So, be patient about what they say, and glorify and praise your Rabb before sunrise and sunset.

50:40


وَمِنَ And of

Wamina

الَّيْلِ the night

فَسَبِّحْهُ glorify Him

And in the night, praise Him and return bowing down.

50:41


وَاسْتَمِعْ And listen!

يوْم سَمَعَ صَاحَ حَقَّ يوْم خرج


The Day they will hear the true blast. That is the Day to emerge.

إِنَّا Indeed We

نَحْنُ [We]

nahnu

نُحْيِىِ [We] give life

وَنُمِيتُ and [We] cause death

وَإِلَيْنَا and to Us

wailayna

الْمَصِيرُ (is) the final return

حي مَاتَ صَارَ


We give you life and death, and to Us is the return.

يَوْمَ (The) Day

يوْم شْقى أَ رَضْ سَرُعَ حَشَرَ سَارَ


The Day when the earth is split, they will be speeding (to Us). That is an easy gathering for Us.

نَّحْنُ We

أَعْلَمُ know best

عَلَيْهِم over them

بِجَبَّارٍ the one to compel

فَذَكِّرْ But remind

بِالْقُرْآنِ with the Quran

مَن whoever

man

يَخَافُ fears

yakhafu
خ و ف
وَعِيدِ My threat

waAAeedi
و ع د
٤٥

علِم قَالَ جَبَرَ ذَكّرَ قَرَأَ خَافَ عِيد


We know best what they say, and you are not a compeller (coercer, enforcer) over them. So, remind (them) with the Quran whoever is afraid of (My) Promise.
