وَالْكِتَابِ By the Book

Waalkitabi

الْمُبِينِ the clear

كَتَبَ بَا نَ


By the Book of the clear (plain) evidence (proof).

إِنَّا Indeed We

Inna

جَعَلْنَاهُ (have) made it

قُرْآنًا a Quran

لَّعَلَّكُمْ so that you may

تَعْقِلُونَ understand

جعل قَرَأَ عَرَب عَقَلَ


We brought this Quran in Arabic so that maybe you will understand.

43:4


وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed it

Wainnahu

فِىٓ (is) in

أُمِّ (the) Mother

الْكِتَابِ (of) the Book

لَعَلِىٌّ surely exalted

حَكِيمٌ full of wisdom

أمّ كَتَبَ لدى عَلَا حَكَمَ


And indeed, this is heavenly original Book (Quran) from Us, with (full of) high wisdom.

43:5


أَفَنَضْرِبُ Then should We take away?

مُّسْرِفِينَ transgressing

ضَرَبَ ذَكّرَ صَفَحَ كَانَ قَامَ سَرَف


Should We abstain from reminding you (and turn away and leave you) because you are an immoderate nation?

43:6


وَكَمْ And how many?

Wakam

أَرْسَلْنَا We sent

الْأَوَّلِينَ the former (people)

And how many prophets have We sent to the earlier ancestors (forefathers)?

43:7


وَمَا And not

يَأْتِيهِم came to them

أتى نبأ كَانَ هَزِىءَ


And no prophet came to them, but they mocked him.

43:8


فَأَهْلَكْنَآ Then We destroyed

وَمَضَىٰ and has passed

مَثَلُ (the) example

الْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people)

هَلَكَ شَدَّ بطش مَضَى مَثَلَ ا و ل


So, We destroyed strong among them, with force, and they were gone away (bygone, vanished) similar to the earlier ones.

43:9


وَلَئِن And if

سَأَلْتَهُم you ask them

وَالْأَرْضَ and the earth

الْعَزِيزُ the All-Mighty

الْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower

٩

سأل خَلَقَ سما أَ رَضْ قَالَ خَلَقَ عَزَّ علِم


And if you asked them, “Who created the universe and the earth?” They would surely say, “They were created by the Most Powerful, the All-Knowing.”

43:10


الَّذِى The One Who

لَّعَلَّكُمْ so that you may

laAAallakum

تَهْتَدُونَ (be) guided

جعل أَ رَضْ مَهْد جعل سَبَلَ هَدَى


He, Who made the earth a resting place for you and made paths in them so that you may get guidance (to seek His bounties and see His Creation).

43:11


وَالَّذِى And the One Who

Waallathee

نَزَّلَ sends down

بِقَدَرٍ in (due) measure

فَأَنشَرْنَا then We revive

كَذَٰلِكَ thus

kathalika

تُخْرَجُونَ you will be brought forth

tukhrajoona

نَزَلَ سَمَا مَا ءَ قدر نشر بَلَدَ مَاتَ خرج


He is the One who sent down water from the sky in proportion (as much as needed), so We resurrected dead cities (dwellings) with this. That is how you will be brought out.

43:12


وَالَّذِى And the One Who

Waallathee

وَجَعَلَ and made

وَالْأَنْعَامِ and the cattle

تَرْكَبُونَ you ride

١٢

خَلَقَ زَاجَ كُلّ جعل فَلَكَ نَعَمَ رَكِبَ


He is the One who created pairs for everything and made ships for you and the animals that you ride on.

43:13


لِتَسْتَوُوا That you may sit firmly

وَتَقُولُوا and say

سُبْحَٰنَ Glory be (to)

الَّذِى the One Who

سَخَّرَ (has) subjected

لَنَا to us

lana

هَٰذَا this

hatha

وَمَا and not

wama

كُنَّا we were

kunna

لَهُۥ of it

lahu

مُقْرِنِينَ capable

muqrineena
ق ر ن
١٣

سوِي ظهر ذَكّرَ نَعَمَ رَبَّ سوِي قَالَ سبح سَخَرَ كَانَ قرن


For you to sit on their backs and remember provisions of livelihood provided by your Rabb as you sit on them, and say, “Praise to Him Who subjugated this for us; we were not associates. (Note: We are not an equal match in power to riding animals, but Allah gave us control over animals that are more powerful than us. One human resource is ~ 75 watts, One horsepower = 746 watts, Typical Car hp= 200 - 500 hp, One airplane with four jet engines - 4 x (15-to 20) Megawatt ~ 100,000 hp, ~ 1000,000 human resources, etc., so Allah gave us control over the horse, car, planes, etc., for our travel and benefits. Hence, we must thank Allah for giving us control over powerful animals and machines).

43:14


وَإِنَّآ And indeed we

And indeed, to our Rabb, we surely will return (to give an account of His provisions to have control overriding animals or vehicles, etc., and how did we use them).

43:15


وَجَعَلُوا But they attribute

إِنَّ Indeed

الْإِنسَانَ man

لَكَفُورٌ (is) surely ungrateful

مُّبِينٌ clearly

١٥

جعل عَبَدَ جَزَى أَنِسَ كَفَرَ بَا نَ


Yet they made a part for Him from His worshippers. Indeed, the man is surely clearly ungrateful.

43:16


أَمِ Or

Ami

اتَّخَذَ has He taken

ittakhatha

مِمَّا of what

يَخْلُقُ He has created

بَنَاتٍ daughters

وَأَصْفَاكُم and He has chosen (for) you

بِالْبَنِينَ sons

أَخَذَ خَلَقَ اِبْن صَفَا اِبْن


Or did He take daughters for Himself from what He creates, and you choose sons?

43:17


وَإِذَا And when

Waitha

بُشِّرَ is given good news

أَحَدُهُم (to) one of them

لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ for the Most Gracious

وَجْهُهُۥ his face

مُسْوَدًّا dark

وَهُوَ and he

كَظِيمٌ (is) filled with grief

١٧

بشِر أحد ضَرَبَ رَحِمَ مَثَلَ ظَلَّ وَجَهَ سَوَاد كَشَفَ


Yet, when one of them is given good news with similar examples for the Merciful (that a daughter is born to him), the darkness comes to his face, and he conceals his anger.

43:18


أَوَمَن Then (is one) who?

نَشَأَ فِي حَلُوَ فِي خَصَمَ غير بَا نَ


(And they say with biased against females by characterizing females as) “Someone raised in jewelry and not clear in an argument?”

43:19


وَجَعَلُوا And they made

الْمَلَآئِكَةَ the Angels

الرَّحْمَٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious

أَشَهِدُوا Did they witness?

سَتُكْتَبُ Will be recorded

شَهَادَتُهُمْ their testimony

وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ and they will be questioned

١٩

جعل ملك عَبَدَ رَحِمَ أَنُثَ شَهِدَ خَلَقَ كَتَبَ شَهِدَ سأل


And they appoint worshipping angels of the Merciful as females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony (their quotation) will be recorded against them, and they will be questioned.

43:20


وَقَالُوا And they say

قَالَ شِاءَ رَحِمَ عَبَدَ علِم خَرَص


And they say, “If the Merciful wanted, we would not have worshipped them.” But they do not know that; they only guess (fabricating arguments).

43:21


أَمْ Or

Am

آتَيْنَاهُمْ have We given them

كِتَابًا a book

بِهِۦ to it

مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ (are) holding fast

أتى كَتَبَ قَبِلَ مسك


Did We give them a book before to which they are rigidly connected (holding on)?

43:22


بَلْ Nay

Bal

قَالُوٓاْ they say

إِنَّا Indeed we

وَجَدْنَآ [we] found

و ج د
اٰبَآءَنَا our forefathers

عَلَىٰٓ upon

AAala

أُمَّةٍ a religion

وَإِنَّا and indeed we

wainna

عَلَىٰٓ on

AAala

اٰثَارِهِم their footsteps

مُّهْتَدُونَ (are) guided

muhtadoona

٢٢

قَالَ وَجَدَ أَب أمّ أثر هَدَى


But they say, “We found our forefathers leading this way, and indeed on their traces (remnants, influences), we are guided.

43:23


وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus

أُمَّةٍ a religion

٢٣

رَسِلَ قَبِلَ فِي قَرَى نَذَرَ قَالَ تَرِفَ وَجَدَ أَب أمّ أثر قدا


Likewise, We did not send a Warner before you in any village, but those living in luxury said, “Indeed, we found our fathers on this course, and we are following on their traces.”

43:24


قَالَ He said

Qala

أَوَلَوْ Even if?

بِأَهْدَىٰ better guidance

وَجَدتُّمْ you found

عَلَيْهِ on it

اٰبَآءَكُمْ your forefathers

قَالُوٓاْ They said

إِنَّا Indeed we

inna

بِمَآ with what

bima

أُرْسِلْتُم you are sent

orsiltum

بِهِۦ with [it]

bihi

كَافِرُونَ (are) disbelievers

kafiroona
ك ف ر
٢٤

قَالَ جَاءَ هَدَى وَجَدَ أَب قَالَ رَسِلَ كَفَرَ


He (prophet) said, “Even if I came to you with better guidance than what you found your forefathers following?” They said, “We do not believe in what you are sent with.”

43:25


فَانتَقَمْنَا So We took retribution

فَانظُرْ Then see

عَاقِبَةُ (the) end

الْمُكَذِّبِينَ (of) the deniers

٢٥

نَقَمَ نَظَرَ كَيدَ كَانَ عَقَبَ كَذَبَ


Therefore, we took revenge on them. Behold, then see how were the punitive measures for the liars. (So We took revenge on them, so see what was the end of the deniers).

43:26


وَإِذْ And when

قَالَ Said

إِبْرَاهِيمُ Ibrahim

لِأَبِيهِ to his father

وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ and his people

إِنَّنِى Indeed I (am)

مِّمَّا from what

تَعْبُدُونَ you worship

٢٦

قَالَ أَب قَامَ بَرَّ عَبَدَ


When Abraham said to his father and his nation, “I am absolved (free myself) from what you worship.

43:27


إِلَّا Except

Illa

الَّذِى the One Who

فَطَرَنِى created me

fataranee

فَإِنَّهُۥ and indeed He

fainnahu

سَيَهْدِينِ will guide me

٢٧

فَطَرَ هَدَى


Except for the One who gave me natural disposition (innate character), He will soon guide me on the right path.”

وَجَعَلَهَا And he made it

جعل كلِمُ بَقِىَ فِي عَقَبَ رَجَعَ


And he left a lasting word in his progeny so they may return (to Allah).

43:29


بَلْ Nay

Bal

مَتَّعْتُ I gave enjoyment

هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ (to) these

وَآبَآءَهُمْ and their forefathers

حَتَّىٰ until

hatta

جَآءَهُمُ came to them

الْحَقُّ the truth

وَرَسُولٌ and a Messenger

مُّبِينٌ clear

ب ي ن
٢٩

مَتَعَ أَب جَاءَ حَقَّ رَسِلَ بَا نَ


I let them and their forefathers enjoy life (let them fulfill desires) until the truth came to them and a clear Messenger.

وَلَمَّا And when

سِحْرٌ (is) magic

وَإِنَّا and indeed we

كَافِرُونَ (are) disbelievers

جَاءَ حَقَّ قَالَ سَحَرَ كَفَرَ


But when the truth came, they said, “This is a magic charm, and we do not believe in it.”

وَقَالُوا And they say

قَالَ نَزَلَ قَرَأَ رَجِلَ قَرَى عَظُمَ


They also said, “If only this Quran were to be sent down on a leading personality of these two great cities.”

وَرَحْمَتُ But (the) Mercy

قَسَمَ رَحِمَ رَبَّ قَسَمَ بَا نَ عَاشَ فِي حي دَنَا رَفَعَ بَعَضَ فَاقَ بَعَضَ دَرَجَ أَخَذَ بَعَضَ بَعَضَ سَخَرَ رَحِمَ رَبَّ خَيرَ جَمَعَ


Do they assign mercy of your Rabb? We distribute means of subsistence in this world's life, and We raise some of them above others in grades to take each other as employees. And (but) mercy of your Rabb is best from what they gather.

وَلَوْلَآ And if not

Walawla

أَن that

فَضَّةٍ silver

fiddatin
ف ض ض
وَمَعَارِجَ and stairways

wamaAAarija
ع ر ج
عَلَيْهَا upon which

AAalayha

يَظْهَرُونَ they mount

yathharoona
ظ ه ر
٣٣

كَانَ أَنِسَ أمّ أحد جعل كَفَرَ رَحِمَ بَا تَ سَقَفَ فَضَّ عَرَجَ ظهر


And if it were humankind were one nation (believers and unbelievers are the same, treated equally), We would have made homes of nonbelievers of the Most Merciful, with silver ceilings and stairs to climb.

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ And for their houses

Walibuyootihim

أَبْوَابًا doors

يَتَّكِئُونَ they recline

The doors of their homes and couches where they happily rest.

وَزُخْرُفًا And ornaments of gold

زَخْرَفَ كُلّ مَتَعَ حي دَنَا أخر عَنَدَ رَبَّ وقى


And (these are) decorations. Yet all this is nothing but an enjoyment of the life of this world. And the Hereafter, with your Rabb, is for the God-fearing.

وَمَن And whoever

عَشَا ذَكّرَ رَحِمَ قَضَى شَيَطن قرن


Whoever becomes blind to remembering the Merciful, We appoint Shaitan for him, becoming an associate.

43:37


وَإِنَّهُمْ And indeed they

Wainnahum

لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ surely turn them

layasuddoonahum

عَنِ from

السَّبِيلِ the Path

وَيَحْسَبُونَ and they think

wayahsaboona
ح س ب
أَنَّهُم that they

annahum

مُّهْتَدُونَ (are) guided

صَدَّ سَبَلَ حَسَبَ هَدَى


And they hinder (appointed shaitan to turn them away) from the path (to Allah), though they consider themselves guided.

43:38


حَتَّىٰٓ Until

Hatta

إِذَا when

جَآءَنَا he comes to Us

فَبِئْسَ How wretched is

الْقَرِينُ the companion!

جَاءَ قَالَ بَا نَ بَا نَ بعُد شَرَقَ بَأْ س- بَؤُ سَ قَرَى


Until, when he will come to Us, he will say, “I wish there were a separation between me and you (me and evil companions) as of the East and West.” What a miserable companion!

43:39


وَلَن And never

Walan

يَنفَعَكُمُ will benefit you

نَفَعَ يوْم ظَلَمَ فِي عَذُبَ شَرِكَ


And indeed, there will be no benefit for you on that day since you were unjust. You will be sharing the punishment.

أَفَأَنتَ Then can you?

سَمَعَ صَمَّ هَدَى عَمِيَ كَانَ فِي ضلّ بَا نَ


Then, can you make the deaf listen or guide the blind, and (while) he is clearly misguided?

فَإِمَّا And whether

Faimma

نَذْهَبَنَّ We take away

فَإِنَّا then indeed We

مُّنتَقِمُونَ (will) take retribution

Then, if We take you away, We will take revenge on them.

Aw

نُرِيَنَّكَ We show you

وَعَدْنَاهُمْ We have promised them

waAAadnahum

فَإِنَّا then indeed We

fainna

عَلَيْهِم over them

AAalayhim

مُّقْتَدِرُونَ have full power

رَأَى وَعَدَ قدر


Or We will show you what We have promised them, for We indeed have power (control) over them.

فَاسْتَمْسِكْ So hold fast

عَلَىٰ (are) on

مُّسْتَقِيمٍ Straight

مسك وَحَى صِرَاط قَامَ


So, hold on to what has been inspired to you. You are on a straight path.

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed it

Wainnahu

لَذِكْرٌ (is) surely a Reminder

تُسْأَلُونَ you will be questioned

Indeed, this is a remembrance for you and your nation; soon, you will be asked (questioned).

وَاسْأَلْ And ask

سأل رَسِلَ قَبِلَ رَسِلَ جعل دُون رَحِمَ إِله عَبَدَ


And ask those whom We sent before you of Our messengers: Have We made gods to be worshiped besides the Most Gracious?

43:46


وَلَقَدْ And certainly

Walaqad

أَرْسَلْنَا We sent

بِاٰيَاتِنَا with Our Signs

فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun

وَمَلَإِيهِۦ and his chiefs

فَقَالَ and he said

إِنِّى Indeed I am

رَسُولُ a Messenger

رَبِّ (of the) Lord

الْعَالَمِينَ (of) the worlds

٤٦

رَسِلَ آ ىي -آية مَلَأَ قَالَ رَسِلَ رَبَّ علِم


And indeed, We sent Musa with Our signs to Firon and his chiefs. He said, “I am Messenger from the Rabb of the universe.”

43:47


فَلَمَّا But when

جَآءَهُم he came to them

بِاٰيَاتِنَا with Our Signs

But when he came to them with Our signs, they were mocking them (They were mocking at Our Signs).

وَمَا And not

نُرِيهِم We showed them

يَرْجِعُونَ return

٤٨

رَأَى آ ىي -آية كَبَرَ أ خو أَخَذَ عَذُبَ رَجَعَ


And when each of Our signs shown to them was more marvelous than their (previous) counterpart. And We held them with the punishment so they may return (to reconsider what they were mocking).

وَقَالُوا And they said

السَّاحِرُ [the] magician!

لَمُهْتَدُونَ (will) surely be guided

٤٩

قَالَ سَحَرَ دَعَا رَبَّ عَهِدَ عَنَدَ هَدَى


And they said, “O you the magician, pray to your Rabb for us (to remove the punishment), what He promised to you, and then we will become guided.”(Note. They called Musa and Haroon magicians still after seeing all the miracles and not as prophets).

فَلَمَّا But when

Then (but) when We removed the punishment from them, they broke (reneged, returned on their promise).

وَنَادَىٰ And called out

يَاقَوْمِ O my people!

وَهَٰذِهِ and these

الْأَنْهَارُ [the] rivers

أَفَلَا Then do not?

تُبْصِرُونَ you see

ندا فِي قَامَ قَالَ قَامَ لَيْسَ ملك نهر جَرَى تحْت بصُر


And Pharaoh said to his people, "Is not the kingdom of Misr (Egypt) mine, and these rivers flowing beneath me? Do you not see?"

Why didn't Moses receive gold jewelry or come with the associated angels?

فَاسْتَخَفَّ So he bluffed

قَوْمَهُۥ his people

فَأَطَاعُوهُ and they obeyed him

إِنَّهُمْ Indeed they

كَانُوا were

قَوْمًا a people

فَاسِقِينَ defiantly disobedient

fasiqeena
ف س ق
٥٤

خَفَّ قَامَ طَاعَ كَانَ قَامَ فًسًق


So, he made little value (lowered the judgment) of his nation, and they followed him. Indeed, they were a nation of transgressors.

43:55


فَلَمَّآ So when

Falamma

اٰسَفُونَا they angered Us

فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ and We drowned them

أَ سِفَ نَقَمَ غرِق جَمَعَ


And when they angered Us, We took revenge and drowned them all.

فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ And We made them

سَلَفًا a precedent

Thus, We made them a precedent and example for the future (later generations).

وَلَمَّا And when

And when the Son of Mariam was cited as an example (that he was created without a father), then your nation turned away (opposing).

وَقَالُوا And they said

They said, “Are our gods not better, or he (Jesus)?” They cited him only for you as a controversy (to challenge you). They are an argumentative nation.

أَنْعَمْنَا We bestowed Our favor

وَجَعَلْنَاهُ and We made him

لِّبَنِىٓ for (the) Children of

إِسْرَائِيلَ Israel

عَبَدَ نَعَمَ جعل مَثَلَ اِبْن


He (Jesus) is only a slave (worshipper of Allah) whom We blessed, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel.

وَلَوْ And if

شِاءَ جعل ملك فِي أَ رَضْ خَلَفَ


And if We wanted, We would have made among you angels on earth as successors.

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed it

لَعِلْمٌ surely (is) a knowledge

لِّلسَّاعَةِ of the Hour

تَمْتَرُنَّ (be) doubtful

بِهَا about it

وَاتَّبِعُونِ and follow Me

صِرَاطٌ (is the) Path

علِم سَاعته مَرْي تبِع صِرَاط قَامَ


Indeed, He Knows of the time (Day of Judgment), so do not doubt it and follow me on this straight path.

وَلَا And (let) not

And do not let the shaitan hinder you (turn you away). He is a clear enemy for you.

وَأَطِيعُونِ and obey me

جَاءَ بَا نَ قَالَ جَاءَ حَكَمَ بَا نَ بَعَضَ خَلَفَ فِي تقى إِلَٰه طَاعَ


When Essa came with clear proofs, he said, “I came to you with wisdom and to make it clear (and decide) for you in some of that you differ in. So, fear Allah and follow me.

43:64


إِنَّ Indeed

Inna

اللهَ Allah

هُوَ He

رَبِّى (is) my Lord

وَرَبُّكُمْ and your Lord

فَاعْبُدُوهُ so worship Him

faoAAbudoohu

هَٰذَا This

hatha

صِرَاطٌ (is) a Path

siratun
ص ر ط
مُّسْتَقِيمٌ Straight

mustaqeemun
ق و م
٦٤

إِلَٰه رَبَّ رَبَّ عَبَدَ صِرَاط قَامَ


Indeed, Allah is your Rabb and my Rabb, so worship Him; this is a straight path.”

43:65


فَاخْتَلَفَ But differed

خَلَفَ حَزَبَ بَا نَ وَيْل ظَلَمَ عَذُبَ يوْم أَ لِمَ


Then the group deferred among themselves. So, a disaster for those who were unjust about the punishment of the painful Day.

Are they waiting for the Time (judgment day) to come to them suddenly, while they do not realize it?

الْأَخِلَّآءُ Friends

يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day

بَعْضُهُمْ some of them

عَدُوٌّ (will be) enemies

الْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous

خَلَّ بَعَضَ بَعَضَ عدا تقى


On that Day, friends will be enemies of one another, except for the God-fearing.

يَاعِبَادِ O My slaves!

عَبَدَ خَفَيَ يوْم حَزَنَ


O, my worshippers, there is no fear or grief for you today.

43:69


الَّذِينَ Those who

بِاٰيَاتِنَا in Our Verses

مُسْلِمِينَ submissive

أَ مُنَ آ ىي -آية كَانَ سلِم


Those who believed in Our verses-signs and were submitted (to Us as Muslims).

دَخَلَ جنّ زَاجَ حَبَرَ


Enter the Paradise, you and your mates, rejoicing.

خَالِدُونَ will abide forever

طَافَ صحف ذهب كُوب شها نفُس لذّ عين خَلَدَ


Rounds will be performed on them with plates of gold and glasses. In there, whatever their souls desire and pleasing to the eyes. You will live there everlasting.

43:72


وَتِلْكَ And this

Watilka

الْجَنَّةُ (is) the Paradise

جنّ وَرَثَ كَانَ عَمِلَ


This Paradise was made for you to inherit because of your actions.

43:73


لَكُمْ For you

Lakum

فِيهَا therein

feeha

فَاكِهَةٌ (are) fruits

fakihatun

كَثِيرَةٌ abundant

مِّنْهَا from it

minha

تَأْكُلُونَ you will eat

takuloona
أ ك ل
٧٣

فَكِهَ كَثَرَ أكل


Therein are many fruits for you to eat.

43:74


إِنَّ Indeed

Inna

الْمُجْرِمِينَ the criminals

عَذَابِ (the) punishment

جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell

خَالِدُونَ abiding forever

جرم فِي عَذُبَ خَلَدَ


Indeed, as for the unjust, they will be in the punishment of Hell, living eternally.

43:75


لَا Not

يُفَتَّرُ will it subside

It (Punishment) will not be reduced for them, and they will be hopeless there.

وَمَا And not

ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ We wronged them

ظَلَمَ كَانَ ظَلَمَ


We did not do injustice to them, but they were unjust.

وَنَادَوْا And they will call

ندا ملك قَضَى رَبَّ قَالَ مَكَثَ


And they will call, “O Master (of Hell), let your Rabb decide between us.” He will say, “You are staying.”

43:78


لَقَدْ Certainly

Laqad

جِئْنَاكُم We have brought you

بِالْحَقِّ the truth

وَلَٰكِنَّ but

أَكْثَرَكُمْ most of you

aktharakum
ك ث ر
لِلْحَقِّ to the truth

كَارِهُونَ (are) averse

karihoona

٧٨

جَاءَ حَقَّ كَثَرَ حَقَّ كَرِهَ


And already, We brought you the truth, but many of you were detesters of the truth.

43:79


أَمْ Or

Am

أَبْرَمُوٓا have they determined

فَإِنَّا Then indeed We

Have they concluded consultation? Then indeed, We have completed it as well.

أَمْ Or

Am

يَحْسَبُونَ (do) they think

وَنَجْوَاهُم and their private counsel(s)

وَرُسُلُنَا and Our Messengers

لَدَيْهِمْ with them

ladayhim
ل د ى
يَكْتُبُونَ are recording

yaktuboona
ك ت ب
٨٠

حَسَبَ سَمَعَ سَرَّ نَجَا رَسِلَ لدى كَتَبَ


Or do they think We do not hear their secrets and private conversations? Yes, Our messengers with them are recording.

43:81


قُلْ Say

Say, “If there were a son for the Merciful, then I would be the first to worship.”

سُبْحَٰنَ Glory be

السَّمَاوَاتِ (of) the heavens

رَبِّ (the) Lord

يَصِفُونَ they ascribe

سبح رَبَّ سما أَ رَضْ رَبَّ عَرَشَ وَصَفَ


Praise for the Rabb of the universe and the earth (He is above all needs, He does not need a son), the Rabb of the Throne (He is above), what they characterize.

43:83


فَذَرْهُمْ So leave them

يَخُوضُوا (to) converse vainly

وَيَلْعَبُوا and play

يُلَاقُوا they meet

يَوْمَهُمُ their Day

يُوعَدُونَ they are promised

ذَرَا خَاضَ لَعِبَ لقِي يوْم وَعَدَ


So, leave them engaged and playing until they will meet on the Day that they are promised.

43:84


وَهُوَ And He

Wahuwa

الَّذِى (is) the One Who

allathee

فِى (is) in

السَّمَآءِ the heaven

إِلَٰهٌ God

وَفِى and in

wafee

الْأَرْضِ the earth

أ ر ض
إِلَٰهٌ God

وَهُوَ And He

wahuwa

الْحَكِيمُ (is) the All-Wise

الْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower

alAAaleemu

٨٤

فِي سَمَا إِله أَ رَضْ إِله حَكَمَ علِم


And He is Allah in the sky and Allah in the earth. He is with the Most Wisdom, the All-Knowing.

43:85


وَتَبَارَكَ And blessed (is)

السَّاعَةِ (of) the Hour (Qeyama)

وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him

wailayhi

تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned

turjaAAoona

٨٥

بَرَكَ ملك سما أَ رَضْ بَا نَ عَنَدَ علِم سَاعته رَجَعَ


And blessed is He, for Him is the kingdom of the universe and the earth and whatever is between them. With Him is the knowledge of the time, and to Him, you will return.

43:86


وَلَا And not

يَمْلِكُ have power

وَهُمْ and they

يَعْلَمُونَ know

ملك دَعَا دُون شَفَعَ شَهِدَ حَقَّ علِم


Those they call other than Him are incapable of mediation, except (only) those who testify with the truth (believer) and those who know.

43:87


وَلَئِن And if

Walain

سَأَلْتَهُم you ask them

خَلَقَهُمْ created them

لَيَقُولُنَّ they will certainly say

اللهُ Allah

Allahu
أ ل ه
فَأَنَّىٰ Then how?

يُؤْفَكُونَ are they deluded

أ ف ك
٨٧

سأل خَلَقَ قَالَ إِلَٰه أنى أَفَكَ


And when you ask them, “Who created them?” they would indeed say, “Allah.” Then Why do you fabricate lies (separate from the truth)?

43:88


وَقِيلِهِۦ And his saying

Waqeelihi

يَارَبِّ O my Lord!

هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these

قَوْمٌ (are) a people

لَّا (who do) not

يُؤْمِنُونَ believe

قَالَ رَبَّ قَامَ أمُن


And his (Prophet's) saying: "O our Rabb, this is a nation who do not believe."

43:89


فَاصْفَحْ So turn away

Faisfah

عَنْهُمْ from them

وَقُلْ and say

سَلَامٌ Peace

فَسَوْفَ But soon

fasawfa

يَعْلَمُونَ they will know

yaAAlamoona

٨٩

صَفَحَ قَالَ سلِم علِم


So, forgive (pardon, turn away from) them and say, “Peace.” Soon they will come to understand.
