نَزَلَ رَحِمَ رَحِمَ


A Revelation from the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

كِتَابٌ A Book

كَتَبَ فَصَلَ آ ىي -آية قَرَأَ عَرَب قَامَ علِم


A Book with clear (detailed) verses of the Quran in Arabic for the nation (who desires) to learn.

41:4


بَشِيرًا A giver of glad tidings

وَنَذِيرًا and a warner

بشِر نَذَرَ عَرُضَ كَثَرَ سَمَعَ


Messenger of Good News (Evangelist) and a Warner, (but) most of them turned away, they do not listen (pay attention).

وَقَالُوا And they say

قُلُوبُنَا Our hearts

تَدْعُونَا you call us

اٰذَانِنَا our ears

وَقْرٌ (is) deafness

وَبَيْنِكَ and between you

wabaynika

حِجَابٌ (is) a screen

فَاعْمَلْ So work

إِنَّنَا indeed we

عَامِلُونَ (are) working

٥

قَالَ قلب كنّ دَعَا أَذن وَقَرَ بَا نَ بَا نَ حَجَبَ عَمِلَ عَمِلَ


And they say, "Our hearts are covered" (sheltered, closed, and not open) from what you call us to, and our ears are deaf, and there is a screen between us and you. So, you do (what needs to be done), and we will do (what needs to be done)."

قُلْ Say

إِنَّمَآ Only

أَنَا I am

بَشَرٌ a man

يُوحَىٰٓ it is revealed

إِلَىَّ to me

أَنَّمَآ that

إِلَٰهُكُمْ your god

إِلَٰهٌ (is) God

ilahun
أ ل ه
وَاحِدٌ One

wahidun
و ح د
فَاسْتَقِيمُوا so take a Straight Path

faistaqeemoo

إِلَيْهِ to Him

ilayhi

وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ and ask His forgiveness

waistaghfiroohu
غ ف ر
وَوَيْلٌ And woe

wawaylun
و ي ل
لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ to the polytheists

lilmushrikeena
ش ر ك
٦

قَالَ بشر مَثَلَ وَحَى إِله إِله أحد قَامَ غفر وَيْل شَرِكَ


Say, "I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is only One God (Allah). So, stand upright (righteous) for Him and seek forgiveness from Him. Woe to those who associate partners with Him."

41:7


الَّذِينَ Those who

بِالْاَٰخِرَةِ in the Hereafter

أتى زَكَى أخر كَفَرَ


Those who do not pay the zakat (charitable donations) and do not believe in the Hereafter.

41:8


إِنَّ Indeed

Inna

الَّذِينَ those who

allatheena

اٰمَنُواْ believe

وَعَمِلُوا and do

الصَّالِحَاتِ righteous deeds

لَهُمْ for them

أَجْرٌ (is) a reward

مَمْنُونٍ ending

م ن ن
٨

أَ مُنَ عَمِلَ صَلَحَ أَجَرَ غير مَنَّ


As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be rewarded without obligation.

أَئِنَّكُمْ Do you indeed?

الْعَالَمِينَ (of) the worlds

قَالَ كَفَرَ خَلَقَ أَ رَضْ فِي يوْم جعل ندا رَبَّ علِم


"Do you become ungrateful to Him who created the earth in two periods (stages)? And (now) you are making (things that He created) equal to Him? He is the Rabb of the universe.

41:10


وَجَعَلَ And He placed

لِّلسَّائِلِينَ for those who ask

lilssaileena

١٠

جعل رَسَا فَاقَ بَرَكَ قدر قات رَبَعَ يوْم سَوِيَ سأل


He placed mountains on top of it (Earth), put blessings (multiple resources to benefit humankind) in them, and put proportionate (designed to meet weight, size, rate of flow, quantity, pressure, temperature, etc.) in them, and put their nourishment in four periods (designed geological periods for the earth to transform from hot molten matter to reach to a state where it can sustain vegetation and benefit humankind), this is an answer to those for who are asking.

41:11


ثُمَّ Then

Thumma

اسْتَوَىٰٓ He directed (Himself)

طَوْعًا willingly

كَرْهًا unwillingly

قَالَتَآ They both said

أَتَيْنَا We come

طَآئِعِينَ willingly

١١

سَوِيَ سَمَا دَخَنَ قَالَ أَ رَضْ أتى طَاعَ كَرِهَ قَالَ أتى طَاعَ


Then He turned to the sky (universe), and it was (in state of) smoke, and said to it and the earth, “Come, obeying or reluctantly.” They said, “We will come obeying.” Note (See attached Note 41-11, NASA described the Dust in the Solar System: Properties and Origins as smoke. The Solar System’s earliest beginnings can be traced back to the condensation of dust in the outflows of dying stars. Together with grains formed in molecular clouds, these "smoke-sized" particles comprised the original building blocks of the Solar System).

41:12


فَقَضَاهُنَّ Then He completed them

وَزَيَّنَّا And We adorned

الدُّنْيَا [the world]

بِمَصَابِيحَ with lamps

bimasabeeha

وَحِفْظًا and (to) guard

wahifthan
ح ف ظ
ذَٰلِكَ That

thalika

تَقْدِيرُ (is the) Decree

taqdeeru
ق د ر
الْعَزِيزِ (of) the All-Mighty

alAAazeezi
ع ز ز
الْعَلِيمِ the All-Knower

alAAaleemi
ع ل م
١٢

قَضَى سَبْع سما فِي يوْم وَحَى فِي كُلّ سَمِي أمر زَانَ سَمِي دَنَا صَبُحَ حَفِظَ قدر عَزَّ علِم


Then, he put the decisions (assigned functions) in seven skies in two periods (stages) and inspired their instructions in every sky. And We decorated the sky of the world with sources of light (stars) and (with its) protection. That is the appreciation (calculations, assumptions to design, control, and create and run the Universe) by the Most Powerful of the All-Knowing.

41:13


فَإِنْ But if

Fain

أَعْرَضُوا they turn away

صَاعِقَةً (of) a thunderbolt

عَادٍ (of) Aad

وَثَمُودَ and Thamud

١٣

عَرُضَ قَالَ نَذَرَ صَعَقَ مَثَلَ صَعَقَ عاد


Then (but) if they turn away, say, “I warn you of (getting hit by) lightning (getting destroyed) like Aad and Samood were hit by lightning (were destroyed).”

١٤

جَاءَ رَسِلَ بَا نَ يدي خَلَفَ عَبَدَ إِلَٰه قَالَ شِاءَ رَبَّ نَزَلَ ملك رَسِلَ كَفَرَ


When their Messengers came to them, in front of them and from behind them (from every angle, or those who passed before them and came after them) (saying), “Do not worship anyone except Allah.” They said, “If our Rabb wanted, He would have surely sent the angels; Therefore, we reject what you are sent down with.”

41:15


فَأَمَّا Then as for

وَكَانُوا But they used to

بِاٰيَاتِنَا in Our Signs

١٥

عاد كَبَرَ فِي أَ رَضْ غير حَقَّ قَالَ شَدَّ قَوِيَ رَأَى إِلَٰه خَلَقَ شَدَّ قَوِيَ كَانَ آ ىي -آية جحد


"As for Aad, they became unjustly arrogant on earth and said,"Who is more powerful than us?” Did they not see that Allah has created them and is more powerful than them? And they were disputing (rejecting) Our signs.

41:16


فَأَرْسَلْنَا So We sent

أَخْزَىٰ (is) more disgracing

يُنصَرُونَ will be helped

١٦

رَسِلَ رَاحَ صُرَّة يوْم نَحَسَ ذاق عَذُبَ خَزَنَ فِي حي دَنَا عَذُبَ أخر خَزَنَ نَصَرَ


So, We sent upon them persistent winds, (for a few) misfortune days, to give them a taste of the degrading punishment in the life of this world; but the punishment in the Hereafter is more degrading, and they will not be helped.

41:17


وَأَمَّا And as for

Waamma

ثَمُودُ Thamud

فَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ We guided them

فَاسْتَحَبُّوا but they preferred

الْعَمَىٰ [the] blindness

عَلَى over

الْهُدَىٰ the guidance

فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ so seized them

faakhathathum
أ خ ذ
صَاعِقَةُ a thunderbolt

saAAiqatu
ص ع ق
الْعَذَابِ (of) the punishment

alAAathabi
ع ذ ب
الْهُونِ humiliating

alhooni
ه و ن
بِمَا for what

bima

كَانُوا they used to

kanoo
ك و ن
يَكْسِبُونَ earn

yaksiboona
ك س ب
١٧

هَدَى حَبَّ عَمِيَ هَدَى أَخَذَ صَعَقَ عَذُبَ هَانَ كَانَ كَسَبَ


And as for Samood, We guided them, but they preferred ignorance (blindness) over guidance. So, the thunderbolt struck them with contemptible punishment because of what they used to earn.

41:18


وَنَجَّيْنَا And We saved

Wanajjayna

الَّذِينَ those who

اٰمَنُواْ believed

وَكَانُوا and used to

يَتَّقُونَ fear (Allah)

yattaqoona
و ق ي
١٨

نَجَا أَ مُنَ كَانَ تقى


And We saved those who believed and were devout (God Fearing).

41:19


وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day

يوْم حَشَرَ عدا إِله نَار وزع


And on the Day when enemies of Allah will be gathered in the Fire, restrained (they will have no power to escape).

41:20


حَتَّىٰٓ Until

Hatta

بِمَا (as) to what

٢٠

جَاءَ شَهِدَ سَمَعَ بصُر جلد كَانَ عَمِلَ


When they will arrive, their hearing, eyes, and skin will testify against them about their actions.

وَقَالُوا And they will say

تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned

قَالَ جلد شَهِدَ قَالَ نَطَقَ إِلَٰه نَطَقَ كُلّ شِاءَ خَلَقَ اول مرّ رَجَعَ


And they will ask their skins, "Why did you testify against us?" They will say, "Allah has given us the ability to speak. He gave speaking power to everything. He created you the first time, and to Him, you will return."

41:22


وَمَا And not

كَانَ سَتَرَ شَهِدَ سَمَعَ بصُر جلد ظَنَّ إِلَٰه علِم كَثَرَ عَمِلَ


And you were not concealing that these can testify against you, your ears, eyes, and skin, but you were thinking that Allah does not know much of what you were doing. (you were using your eyes, ears, and skin to sin, now, these will testify against you).

41:23


وَذَٰلِكُمْ And that

Wathalikum

ظَنُّكُمُ (was) your assumption

بِرَبِّكُمْ about your Lord

أَرْدَاكُمْ It has ruined you

فَأَصْبَحْتُم and you have become

faasbahtum

مِّنْ of

mina

الْخَاسِرِينَ the losers

alkhasireena
خ س ر
٢٣

ظَنَّ ظَنَّ رَبَّ رَادَ صَبُحَ خَسِرَ


And that (misleading) thought of yours about your Rabb (thinking that Allah does not know much of what you were doing) led you to become the losers.

فَإِن Then if

يَصْبِرُوا they endure

If they are patient, the Fire is the place for them, and if they express disapproval, they will not be (able to) disapprove (they will not be able to say I have not crossed the limit).

قَضَى قرن زَانَ بَا نَ يدي خَلَفَ حَقَّ قَالَ أمّ خَلَا قَبِلَ جنّ أَنِسَ كَانَ خَسِرَ


And We decreed associate for them, who beautified what was in front of them and what was behind them (what they were doing). And then the Word (to destroy them) was justified against them, for the communities of the jinn and the humankind passed by before them (in bygone, ancient times). Indeed, they were the losers.

وَقَالَ And said

قَالَ كَفَرَ سَمَعَ قَرَأَ غَوَى فِي غَلَبَ


And those nonbelievers said, “Do not listen to this Quran and speak to nullify it, (over it), so, maybe you will prevail.”

41:27


فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ But surely We will cause to taste

So, surely, We will make those nonbelievers taste a severe punishment and reward them for the evil they were doing.

The reward for enemies of Allah is the Fire. For them, this will be a home forever, a reward due to what they were disputing with Our verses-signs.

The nonbelievers will say, “O Our Rabb, show us those who misled us, among the jinn and the mankind, and we will put them under our feet so that they will be lowly (disgraced) people.”

Indeed, for those who say: “Our Rabb is Allah,” and then stay steadfast on that, the angels are sent down on them: “Do not be afraid and do not be grieved but rejoice in the good news of Paradise that you were promised.

نَحْنُ We

أَوْلِيَآؤُكُمْ (are) your protectors

We are supporters of you in the life of this world and the Hereafter. For you what your soul desires, and for you, whatever you call for.

And who is better with words than someone who calls (invokes, appeals) to Allah, does righteous deeds (actions), and says, “I am among the submitted (to Allah).”?

سوِي حَسَنَ سَا ءَ دَفَعَ حَسَنَ بَا نَ بَا نَ عدا وَلِيَ حَمَّ


The good and the bad are not equal. (When you) Avert evil with better (kindness), then whatever enmity was between you and him will be (gone and he will be) like your supporting (good) friend.

يَنزَغَنَّكَ whisper comes to you

زَاغَ شَيَطن نَزَعَ عاذ إِلَٰه سَمَعَ علِم


If the shaitan deviates you from the truth (with a suggestion) to deviate, seek protection with Allah; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

آ ىي -آية لَيْل نهر شَمَسَ قَمَرَ سَجَدَ شَمَسَ قَمَرَ سَجَدَ إِلَٰه خَلَقَ كَانَ عَبَدَ


And among His signs are the night, day, sun, and moon. Do not bow down (worship) to the sun or the moon, but bow down (worship) to Allah, "He is the creator of these (sun and moon) if you are devoutly worshipping to Him alone."

فَإِنِ But if

But if they become arrogant, then (know that) those near your Rabb praise Him, night and day, and they do not get tired. ۩ Prostration

آ ىي -آية رَأَى أَ رَضْ خَشَعَ نَزَلَ مَا ءَ هَزَّ رَبَا حي حي مَاتَ كُلّ شِاءَ قدر


And from His signs, you see that the earth is in submission (obeys His Laws, e.g., it grows cultivations). But when We send down water on it, it gets agitated and grows (crops). (Similarly) He Who gives life will revive the dead. He is in control of everything.

Indeed, those who deviate from Our verses-signs are not hidden from Us. Is he who will meet the Fire better? Or he who comes as a believer in the Day of Standing? Do what you desire; He is aware of what you do.

Falsehood does not come in front of or behind it. It is a revelation from the Wisest, the Most Praiseworthy. (The Truth, as presented in the Al-Quran, is absolute and cannot be proven false. Conversely, anything Al-Qran declares false cannot be proven true).

جعل قَرَأَ عَجَمَ قَالَ فَصَلَ آ ىي -آية عَجَمَ عَرَب قَالَ أَ مُنَ هَدَى شَفَى أمُن أَذن وَقَرَ عَمِيَ ندا مَكُنَ بعُد


If We have made the Quran in a foreign language, they would say, “We wish its verses had been explained.” (Book is) Non-Arabic and (we are) Arab? Say, “For those who believe, this is guidance and a cure. But as for those who do not think so, there is a deafness in their ears, and on them is blindness. They call from a faraway place. (They should pay more attention to the message. Instead, they aimlessly argue with bias as if they are disconnected from reality).

وَلَقَدْ And certainly

لَقُضِىَ surely would have been settled

بَيْنَهُمْ between them

وَإِنَّهُمْ But indeed they

لَفِى surely (are) in

lafee

شَكٍّ doubt

shakkin

مِّنْهُ about it

minhu

مُرِيبٍ disquieting

mureebin
ر ي ب
٤٥

أتى كَتَبَ خَلَفَ فِي كلِمُ سبق رَبَّ قَضَى بَا نَ شَكَّ رَابَ


And indeed, We gave Musa the Book, but they disagreed with the (teachings). If not for the word (decided) before from your Rabb, It would have been judged (decided) between them. But they are doubtful about this.

41:46


مَّنْ Whoever

Man

عَمِلَ does

فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ then it is for his soul

وَمَنْ and whoever

أَسَآءَ does evil

فَعَلَيْهَا then it is against it

faAAalayha

وَمَا And not

wama

رَبُّكَ (is) your Lord

rabbuka

بِظَلَّامٍ unjust

bithallamin
ظ ل م
لِّلْعَبِيدِ to His slaves

lilAAabeedi
ع ب د
٤٦

عَمِلَ صَلَحَ نفُس سَا ءَ رَبَّ ظَلَمَ عَبَدَ


Whoever did righteous deeds, then it is (good) for his soul; and whoever did evil, then it is against himself. Your Rabb is not unjust to His servants.

41:47


إِلَيْهِ To Him

Ilayhi

يُرَدُّ is referred

قَالُوٓاْ They will say

اٰذَنَّاكَ We announce (to) You

رَدَّ علِم سَاعته خرج ثَمَرَ كَمَّ حَمَلَ أَنُثَ ضَاعَ علِم يوْم ندا شَرِكَ قَالَ أَذن شَهِدَ


Towards Him returns knowledge of the Time (Final Judgment Day). No fruits come from its coverings; no female carries or delivers, except with His knowledge. And on the Day when He Will call out to them, “Where are My partners?” They will say, “We have declared nothing with us to (show as) witness to you.”

وَضَلَّ And lost

ضلّ كَانَ دَعَا قَبِلَ ظَنَّ حَاصَ


And whatever they used to call (worship) before will be lost from them, and they will realize there is no escape for them.

41:49

سَامَ أَنِسَ دَعَا خَيرَ مسّ شَرَّ ا سو قَنِطَ


The man does not get tired of asking for better, but he becomes despaired with hopelessness when touched by evil (harm).

وَلَئِنْ And verily if

فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ But We will surely inform

وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم and We will surely make them taste

عَذَابٍ a punishment

غَلِيظٍ severe

ذاق رَحِمَ بعُد ضَرَّ مسّ قَالَ ظَنَّ سَاعته قَامَ رَجَعَ رَبَّ عَنَدَ حَسَنَ نبأ كَفَرَ عَمِلَ ذاق عَذُبَ غَلُظَ


And when We let him taste mercy from Us after harm touches him, he will indeed say, “That is for me (I deserve it) and I do not think of the Standing of Time is coming; and when I am returned to my Rabb, I will have the best (reward) with Him.” We will inform those who did not believe, about what they used to do, and We will make them taste a harsh punishment.

41:51


وَإِذَآ And when

وَإِذَا but when

مَسَّهُ touches him

الشَّرُّ the evil

فَذُو then (he is) full

دُعَآءٍ (of) supplication

عَرِيضٍ lengthy

AAareedin
ع ر ض

نَعَمَ أَنِسَ عَرُضَ جَنَبَ مسّ شَرَّ ذُو دَعَا عَرُضَ


When We grant comforts of life (good times) to the man, he turns away and keeps himself away (from remembering Allah); but when the harm touches him (bad times come), he is in lengthy prayers (returns to Allah).

41:52

قَالَ رَأَى كَانَ عَنَدَ إِله كَفَرَ ضلّ فِي شَقَّ بعُد


Say, “Do you see? If it is from Allah and you do not believe in it, (then) who is more misguided than him, who is (gone) too far in opposition?”

41:53


سَنُرِيهِمْ Soon We will show them

اٰيَاتِنَا Our Signs

الْاٰفَاقِ the horizons

وَفِىٓ and in

wafee

أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves

حَتَّىٰ until

hatta

يَتَبَيَّنَ becomes clear

ب ي ن
لَهُمْ to them

lahum

أَنَّهُ that it

annahu

الْحَقُّ (is) the truth

alhaqqu
ح ق ق
أَوَلَمْ Is (it) not?

awalam

يَكْفِ sufficient

yakfi
ك ف ي
بِرَبِّكَ concerning your Lord

birabbika
ر ب ب
أَنَّهُۥ that He

annahu

عَلَىٰ (is) over

AAala

كُلِّ all

kulli
ك ل ل
شَىْءٍ things

shayin
ش ي أ
شَهِيدٌ a Witness

shaheedun
ش ه د
٥٣

رَأَى آ ىي -آية فِي أُ فُقْ نفُس بَا نَ حَقَّ كفى رَبَّ كُلّ شِاءَ شَهِدَ


Soon, We will show them Our signs of the distant places (range of vision, foreign land) and their souls (in themselves) until it becomes clear that He is the truth. Is it not sufficient that your Rabb is a witness to everything?

41:54


أَلَآ Unquestionably

Ala

إِنَّهُمْ they

مُّحِيطٌ encompassing

فِي مَرْي لقِي رَبَّ كُلّ شِاءَ حَاطَ


Is it not that they are in doubt about meeting with their Rabb? Is it not that He Comprehends everything?
