64:1


يُسَبِّحُ Glorifies

Yusabbihu
س ب ح
لِلّٰهِ [to] Allah

أ ل ه
مَا whatever

فِى (is) in

fee

السَّمَاوَاتِ the heavens

alssamawati
س م و
وَمَا and whatever

wama

فِى (is) in

fee

الْأَرْضِ the earth

alardi
أ ر ض
لَهُ For Him

lahu

الْمُلْكُ (is the) dominion

almulku
م ل ك
وَلَهُ and for Him

walahu

الْحَمْدُ (is) the praise

alhamdu
ح م د
وَهُوَ And He

wahuwa

عَلَىٰ (is) on

AAala

كُلِّ every

kulli
ك ل ل
شَىْءٍ thing

shayin
ش ي أ
قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful

qadeerun
ق د ر
١

سبح إِلَٰه فِي سما فِي أَ رَضْ ملك حَمِدَ كُلّ شِاءَ قدر


Praises to Allah, whatever is in the universe and the earth. For His is the entire kingdom, and to Him is All the Praise, and He controls everything.

64:2


هُوَ He

Huwa

الَّذِى (is) the One Who

allathee

خَلَقَكُمْ created you

khalaqakum
خ ل ق
فَمِنكُمْ and among you

faminkum

كَافِرٌ (is) a disbeliever

kafirun
ك ف ر
وَمِنكُم and among you

waminkum

مُّؤْمِنٌ (is) a believer

muminun
أ م ن
وَٱللّٰهُ And Allah

waAllahu
أ ل ه
بِمَا of what

bima

تَعْمَلُونَ you do

taAAmaloona
ع م ل
بَصِيرٌ (is) All-Seer

baseerun
ب ص ر
٢

خَلَقَ كَفَرَ أمُن إِلَٰه عَمِلَ بصُر


He is the One who created you. Among you is a nonbeliever (ungrateful), and among you is a believer (faithful). And Allah Sees what you do.

64:3


خَلَقَ He created

السَّمَاوَاتِ the heavens

وَالْأَرْضَ and the earth

بِالْحَقِّ with truth

ح ق ق
وَصَوَّرَكُمْ and He formed you

ص و ر
فَأَحْسَنَ and made good

faahsana
ح س ن
صُوَرَكُمْ your forms

suwarakum
ص و ر
وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him

wailayhi

الْمَصِيرُ (is) the final return

almaseeru
ص ي ر
٣

خَلَقَ سما أَ رَضْ حَقَّ صور حَسَنَ صور صَارَ


He created the universe and the earth with truth and gave you shapes (forms) and beautiful shapes (forms); towards Him is your final destination.

64:4


يَعْلَمُ He knows

وَيَعْلَمُ and He knows

وَٱللّٰهُ And Allah

عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knowing

بِذَاتِ of what

الصُّدُورِ (is in) the breasts

٤

علِم فِي سما أَ رَضْ علِم سَرَّ عَلَنَ إِلَٰه علِم ذُو صدر


He Knows whatever is in the universe and the earth, and He Knows what you (try to) hide (conceal) and what you declare (reveal). And Allah Knows all the secrets of your chest (Allah Knows all that is in your mind, what you think).

64:5


أَلَمْ Has not?

Alam

يَأْتِكُمْ come to you

أ ت ي
نَبَؤُا (the) news

الَّذِينَ (of) those who

كَفَرُوا disbelieved

ك ف ر

قَبْلُ before

فَذَاقُوا So they tasted

وَبَالَ (the bad) consequence

و ب ل
أَمْرِهِمْ (of) their affair

وَلَهُمْ and for them

walahum

عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment

AAathabun
ع ذ ب
أَلِيمٌ painful

aleemun
أ ل م
٥

أتى نبأ كَفَرَ قَبِلَ ذاق بَال أمر عَذُبَ أَ لِمَ


Did the news of those who were ungrateful before not come to you? So they tasted (faced) the consequences of their affairs (decisions, choices), and it is a painful punishment for them.

64:6


ذَٰلِكَ That

Thalika

بِأَنَّهُۥ (is) because

biannahu

كَانَت had

تَّأْتِيهِمْ come to them

tateehim
أ ت ي
رُسُلُهُم their Messengers

rusuluhum
ر س ل
بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ with clear proofs

bialbayyinati
ب ي ن
فَقَالُوٓا but they said

faqaloo
ق و ل
أَبَشَرٌ Shall human beings?

abasharun
ب ش ر
يَهْدُونَنَا guide us

yahdoonana
ه د ي
فَكَفَرُوا So they disbelieved

fakafaroo
ك ف ر
وَتَوَلَّوا and turned away

watawallaw
و ل ي
وَّاسْتَغْنَى And can do without them

waistaghna
غ ن ي
اللهُ Allah

Allahu
أ ل ه
وَٱللّٰهُ And Allah

waAllahu
أ ل ه
غَنِىٌّ (is) Self-sufficient

ghaniyyun
غ ن ي
حَمِيدٌ Praiseworthy

hameedun
ح م د
٦

كَانَ أتى رَسِلَ بَا نَ قَالَ بشر هَدَى كَفَرَ وَلِيَ غنِي إِلَٰه إِلَٰه غنِي حَمِدَ


That is because their messengers come to them with clear signs, but they said, “Should a man be guiding us?” So, they did not believe and turned away. But Allah is free of any need (of them), and Allah has no need. He is All the Praise.

64:7


زَعَمَ Claim

الَّذِينَ those who

يُبْعَثُوا will they be raised

بَلَىٰ Yes

وَرَبِّى by my Lord

لَتُبْعَثُنَّ surely you will be raised

ب ع ث
ثُمَّ then

thumma

لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ surely you will be informed

latunabbaonna
ن ب أ
بِمَا of what

bima

عَمِلْتُمْ you did

AAamiltum
ع م ل
وَذَٰلِكَ And that

wathalika

عَلَى for

AAala

اللهِ Allah

Allahi
أ ل ه
يَسِيرٌ (is) easy

yaseerun
ي س ر
٧

زَعَمَ كَفَرَ بعث قَالَ رَبَّ بعث نبأ عَمِلَ إِله سَارَ


Those nonbelievers consider that they will never be raised. Say, “Yes, by my Rabb, you will be definitely raised; then you will be informed about what you did, and that is easy on Allah.”

64:8


فَـَٔامِنُوا So believe

Faaminoo
أ م ن
بِٱللّٰهِ in Allah

أ ل ه
وَرَسُولِهِۦ and His Messenger

warasoolihi
ر س ل
وَالنُّورِ and the Light

waalnnoori
ن و ر
الَّذِىٓ which

allathee

أَنزَلْنَا We have sent down

anzalna
ن ز ل
وَٱللّٰهُ And Allah

waAllahu
أ ل ه
بِمَا of what

bima

تَعْمَلُونَ you do

taAAmaloona
ع م ل
خَبِيرٌ (is) All-Aware

khabeerun
خ ب ر
٨

أمُن إِلَٰه رَسِلَ نَار نَزَلَ إِلَٰه عَمِلَ خَبَرَ


So, believe in Allah, His Messenger, (Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ‎ Sallā llāhu ʿalayhī wa-ʾālihī wa-Sallam, peace be upon him and his progeny) and the Light (Quran) that We Sent down. Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

64:9


يَوْمَ (The) Day

Yawma
ي و م
يَجْمَعُكُمْ He will assemble you

yajmaAAukum
ج م ع
لِيَوْمِ for (the) Day

liyawmi
ي و م
الْجَمْعِ (of) the Assembly

aljamAAi
ج م ع
ذَٰلِكَ that

thalika

يَوْمُ (will be the) Day

yawmu
ي و م
التَّغَابُنِ (of) mutual loss and gain

alttaghabuni
غ ب ن
وَمَن And whoever

waman

يُؤْمِن believes

yumin
أ م ن
بِٱللّٰهِ in Allah

biAllahi
أ ل ه
وَيَعْمَلْ and does

wayaAAmal
ع م ل
صَالِحًا righteous deeds

salihan
ص ل ح
يُكَفِّرْ He will remove

yukaffir
ك ف ر
عَنْهُ from him

AAanhu

سَيِّئَاتِهِۦ his evil deeds

sayyiatihi
س و أ
وَيُدْخِلْهُ and He will admit him

wayudkhilhu

جَنَّاتٍ (to) Gardens

jannatin
ج ن ن
تَجْرِى flow

tajree
ج ر ي
مِن from

min

تَحْتِهَا underneath it

tahtiha

الْأَنْهَارُ the rivers

خَالِدِينَ abiding

فِيهَآ therein

أَبَدًا forever

ذَٰلِكَ That

thalika

الْفَوْزُ (is) the success

alfawzu
ف و ز
الْعَظِيمُ the great

alAAatheemu
ع ظ م
٩

يوْم جَمَعَ يوْم جَمَعَ يوْم غبن أمُن إِلَٰه عَمِلَ صَلَحَ كَفَرَ سَا ءَ دَخَلَ جنّ جَرَى تحْت نهر خَلَدَ أبد فَازَ عَظُمَ


You will be gathered on the Day of Gathering, a day of mutual cheating (people will be cheating each other to protect themselves and will try to make others responsible for their wrongdoings). Whoever believes in Allah and does righteous deeds (Allah) will cover his misdeeds for him, and He will admit him in the gardens with rivers flowing below them, living forever in them. That is a tremendous success.

64:10


وَالَّذِينَ But those who

Waallatheena

كَفَرُوا disbelieved

kafaroo

وَكَذَّبُوا and denied

wakaththaboo
ك ذ ب
بِاٰيَاتِنَا [in] Our Verses

أ ي ي
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those

olaika

أَصْحَابُ (are the) companions

ashabu
ص ح ب
النَّارِ (of) the Fire

alnnari
ن و ر
خَالِدِينَ abiding forever

khalideena
خ ل د
فِيهَا therein

feeha

وَبِئْسَ And wretched is

wabisa
ب أ س
الْمَصِيرُ the destination

almaseeru
ص ي ر
١٠

كَفَرَ كَذَبَ آ ىي -آية صَحِبَ نَار خَلَدَ بَأْ س- بَؤُ سَ صَارَ


As for those who did not believe and lied with Our signs, those are the companions of the Fire, living in there forever, and what a wretched destination!

64:11


مَآ Not

Ma

أَصَابَ strikes

يَهْدِ He guides

قَلْبَهُۥ his heart

وَٱللّٰهُ And Allah

waAllahu
أ ل ه
بِكُلِّ of every

bikulli
ك ل ل
شَىْءٍ thing

shayin
ش ي أ
عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knowing

AAaleemun
ع ل م
١١

صاب صاب أَذن إِله أمُن إِلَٰه هَدَى قلب إِلَٰه كُلّ شِاءَ علِم


No calamity hits except with the permission of Allah. Whoever believes in Allah, He will guide his heart. Allah Knows everything.

64:12


وَأَطِيعُوا So obey

WaateeAAoo

اللهَ Allah

Allaha
أ ل ه
وَأَطِيعُوا and obey

waateeAAoo
ط و ع
الرَّسُولَ the Messenger

فَإِن but if

fain

تَوَلَّيْتُمْ you turn away

tawallaytum
و ل ي
فَإِنَّمَا then only

fainnama

عَلَىٰ upon

AAala

رَسُولِنَا Our Messenger

الْبَلَاغُ (is) the conveyance

albalaghu
ب ل غ
الْمُبِينُ clear

almubeenu
ب ي ن
١٢

طَاعَ إِلَٰه طَاعَ رَسِلَ وَلِيَ رَسِلَ بلغ بَا نَ


So, obey Allah and obey the Messenger. But if you turn away, it is only on Our Messenger to communicate clearly.

64:13


اللهُ Allah

Allahu
أ ل ه
لَآ (there is) no

إِلَٰهَ god

ilaha
أ ل ه
إِلَّا except

illa

هُوَ Him

huwa

وَعَلَى And upon

waAAala

اللهِ Allah

Allahi
أ ل ه
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ let put (their) trust

falyatawakkali
و ك ل
الْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers

almuminoona
أ م ن
١٣

إِلَٰه إِله إِله وَكَلَ أمُن


Allah, there is no god except Him; And in Allah, all the believers place their trust.

64:14


يَاأَيُّهَا O

Yaayyuha

الَّذِينَ (you) who

allatheena

اٰمَنُواْ believe!

amanoo
أ م ن
إِنَّ Indeed

inna

مِنْ from

min

أَزْوَاجِكُمْ your spouses

azwajikum
ز و ج
وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ and your children

waawladikum
و ل د
عَدُوًّا (are) enemies

AAaduwwan
ع د و
لَّكُمْ to you

lakum

فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ so beware of them

faihtharoohum
ح ذ ر
وَإِن But if

wain

تَعْفُوا you pardon

taAAfoo
ع ف و
وَتَصْفَحُوا and overlook

watasfahoo
ص ف ح
وَتَغْفِرُوا and forgive

wataghfiroo
غ ف ر
فَإِنَّ then indeed

fainna

اللهَ Allah

Allaha
أ ل ه
غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving

ghafoorun
غ ف ر
رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful

raheemun
ر ح م
١٤

أَ مُنَ زَاجَ وَلَدَ عدا حَذِرَ عفا صَفَحَ غفر إِلَٰه غفر رَحِمَ


O you who believe! Among your wives and your children are your enemies, so beware of them. But if you be kind, forgive, and pardon, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

64:15


إِنَّمَآ Only

Innama

أَمْوَالُكُمْ your wealth

amwalukum
م و ل
وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ and your children

waawladukum
و ل د
فِتْنَةٌ (are) a trial

fitnatun
ف ت ن
وَٱللّٰهُ and Allah

waAllahu
أ ل ه
عِندَهُۥٓ with Him

AAindahu
ع ن د
أَجْرٌ (is) a reward

ajrun
أ ج ر
عَظِيمٌ great

AAatheemun
ع ظ م
١٥

مَال وَلَدَ فَتَنَ إِلَٰه عَنَدَ أَجَرَ عَظُمَ


Your wealth and your children are a trial, but with Allah is the greatest reward.

64:16


فَاتَّقُوا So fear

Faittaqoo

اللهَ Allah

Allaha
أ ل ه
مَا what

اسْتَطَعْتُمْ you are able

istataAAtum
ط و ع
وَاسْمَعُوا and listen

waismaAAoo
س م ع
وَأَطِيعُوا and obey

waateeAAoo
ط و ع
وَأَنفِقُوا and spend

waanfiqoo
ن ف ق
خَيْرًا (it is) better

خ ي ر
لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ for yourselves

lianfusikum
ن ف س
وَمَن And whoever

waman

يُوقَ is saved

yooqa
و ق ي
شُحَّ (from the) greediness

shuhha
ش ح ح
نَفْسِهِۦ (of) his soul

nafsihi
ن ف س
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ then those

faolaika

هُمُ [they]

humu

الْمُفْلِحُونَ (are) the successful ones

almuflihoona
ف ل ح
١٦

تقى إِلَٰه طَاعَ سَمَعَ طَاعَ نفق خَيرَ نفُس وقى شَحَّ نفُس فًلَحَ


So, fear Allah to the best of your ability, listen, obey, and spend money (disburse as needed and in charity) that is good for yourself. Whoever is saved from the greed of his soul, then those are the beneficent.

64:17


إِن If

In

تُقْرِضُوا you loan

اللهَ (to) Allah

Allaha

قَرْضًا a loan

qardan
ق ر ض
حَسَنًا goodly

hasanan
ح س ن
يُضَاعِفْهُ He will multiply it

yudaAAifhu
ض ع ف
لَكُمْ for you

lakum

وَيَغْفِرْ and will forgive

wayaghfir
غ ف ر
لَكُمْ you

lakum

وَٱللّٰهُ And Allah

waAllahu
أ ل ه
شَكُورٌ (is) Most Appreciative

shakoorun
ش ك ر
حَلِيمٌ Most Forbearing

haleemun
ح ل م
١٧

قَرَضَ إِلَٰه قَرَضَ حَسَنَ ضَعَفَ غفر إِلَٰه شَكَرَ حَلَمَ


If you give a good loan to Allah, He will multiply it for you and forgive you. Allah is Most Appreciative, Most Forbearing.

64:18


عَالِمُ (The) Knower

الْغَيْبِ (of) the unseen

غ ي ب
وَالشَّهَادَةِ and the witnessed

waalshshahadati
ش ه د
الْعَزِيزُ the All-Mighty

alAAazeezu
ع ز ز
الْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise

١٨

علِم غَابَ شَهِدَ عَزَّ حَكَمَ


He knows the unseen and seen. He is the Most Powerful, the Wisest.
