وَالْكِتَابِ By the Book

Waalkitabi

كَتَبَ بَا نَ


By the Oath of the Book (Quran), The clear proof (The Book with clear proof, evidence, Plain).

إِنَّآ Indeed We

أَنزَلْنَاهُ revealed it

نَزَلَ فِي لَيْل بَرَكَ كَانَ نَذَرَ


We sent down (revealed) this (Book Quran) on a Blessed Night; We have been giving Warning Signs.

Instruction from Us (Instructions for how to live in this world). We have been sending (Dispatching Instructions, Messengers).

رَحْمَةً As Mercy

A Mercy from your Rabb. Indeed, He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Rabb (Owner) of the universe and the earth and what is in between them, if you certainly believed.

There is no god except Him. He gives life and death, your Rabb and Rabb of your earlier forefathers.

44:9


بَلْ Nay

Bal

يَلْعَبُونَ playing

فِي شَكَّ لَعِبَ


Yet they are in doubt and distracted by amusements.

44:10


فَارْتَقِبْ Then watch

يَوْمَ (for the) Day

تَأْتِي (when) will bring

السَّمَآءُ the sky

رَقَبَ يوْم أتى سَمِي دَخَنَ بَا نَ


So, await the Day that the sky will come with evident (visible) smoke.

يَغْشَى Enveloping

عَذَابٌ (will be) a punishment

People will faint, this is a painful punishment

رَّبَّنَا Our Lord!

"Our Rabb, remove the punishment from us. "We are believers."

44:13


أَنَّىٰ How can?

جَآءَهُمْ had come to them

رَسُولٌ a Messenger

أنى ذَكّرَ جَاءَ رَسِلَ بَا نَ


Do they not have the remembrance (the Quran) with them despite having already received a clear Messenger?

44:14


ثُمَّ Then

Thumma

تَوَلَّوْا they turned away

مَّجْنُونٌ a mad man

وَلِيَ قَالَ علِم جنّ


Then they turned away from him and said, " a possessed teacher."

44:15


إِنَّا Indeed We

كَاشِفُو (will) remove

الْعَذَابِ the punishment

قَلِيلًا a little

إِنَّكُمْ indeed you

عَآئِدُونَ (will) return

كَشَفَ عَذُبَ قَلَّ عاد


Indeed, (if) We will remove the punishment a little, then you will repeat.

44:16


يَوْمَ (The) Day

يوْم بطش بطش كَبَرَ نَقَمَ


The Day when We will strike, (it will be with) The Great Violent Force, We will be vengeful.

44:17


وَلَقَدْ And certainly

Walaqad

فَتَنَّا We tried

قَبْلَهُمْ before them

قَوْمَ (the) people

فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun

وَجَآءَهُمْ and came to them

١٧

فَتَنَ قَبِلَ قَامَ جَاءَ رَسِلَ كَرُمَ


And We already (tested with) temptation (and tried) those before them, the nation of Firon; and a noble Messenger came to them.

44:18


أَنْ That

أَدُّوٓا Deliver

Saying, “Render (bring) me the servants of Allah. I am a trusting Messenger for you.”

44:19


وَأَنْ And that

اٰتِيكُم [I] have come to you

عَلَا إِله أتى سُلَط بَا نَ


And “Do not exceed (become arrogant) against Allah. I have brought you clear authority (proof).

44:20


وَإِنِّى And indeed I

Wainnee

عُذْتُ [I] seek refuge

بِرَبِّى with my Lord

وَرَبِّكُمْ and your Lord

أَن lest

تَرْجُمُونِ you stone me

عاذ رَبَّ رَبَّ رَجَمَ


I seek protection with my Rabb and your Rabb; lest (that) you stone me to death.

44:21


وَإِن And if

فَاعْتَزِلُونِ then leave me alone

أمُن عَزَلَ


And if you do not believe in me, then keep away (withdraw, separate) from me.”

فَدَعَا So he called

هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these

قَوْمٌ (are) a people

مُّجْرِمُونَ criminals

دَعَا رَبَّ قَامَ جرم


Then he called to his Rabb: “These are a nation of criminals.”

44:23


فَأَسْرِ Then Set out

بِعِبَادِى with My slaves

لَيْلًا (by) night

إِنَّكُم Indeed you

مُّتَّبَعُونَ (will be) followed

٢٣

سَرَى عَبَدَ لَيْل تبِع


Then (Allah Said), “Travel by night with my worshippers, you will be followed.

44:24


وَاتْرُكِ And leave

إِنَّهُمْ Indeed they

جُندٌ (are) an army

مُّغْرَقُونَ (to be) drowned

ترك بَحَرَ رَهَا جُنْد غرِق


And you cross the ocean quietly; they are an army to be drowned.”

44:25


كَمْ How many?

ترك جنّ عين


How many gardens (farms, agricultural land) and springs did they leave behind?

وَزُرُوعٍ And cornfields

وَمَقَامٍ and places

كَرِيمٍ noble

زَرَعَ قَامَ كَرُمَ


And plantations and noble places.

44:27


وَنَعْمَةٍ And pleasant things

WanaAAmatin

كَانُوا they used to

فِيهَا therein

فَاكِهِينَ take delight

نَعَمَ كَانَ فَكِهَ


And the provisions of livelihood that they were amusing there.

44:28


كَذَٰلِكَ Thus

Kathalika

وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا And We made it (an) inherit(ance)

قَوْمًا (for) a people

اٰخَرِينَ another

٢٨

وَرَثَ قَامَ أخر


That is how We made other nations inherit these.

44:29


فَمَا And not

Fama

بَكَتْ wept

عَلَيْهِمُ for them

السَّمَآءُ the heaven

وَالْأَرْضُ and the earth

وَمَا and not

wama

كَانُوا they were

مُنظَرِينَ given respite

٢٩

بَكَى سَمِي أَ رَضْ كَانَ نَظَرَ


Then, neither the sky nor the earth cried for them, and they were not delayed (given respite).

44:30


وَلَقَدْ And certainly

Walaqad

نَجَّيْنَا We saved

بَنِىٓ (the) Children of

إِسْرَائِيلَ Israel

الْعَذَابِ the punishment

الْمُهِينِ the humiliating

نَجَا اِبْن عَذُبَ هَانَ


And indeed, We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment.

From Firon. He was among those who exceeded in arrogance (thought of being higher ranked).

وَلَقَدِ And certainly

اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ We chose them

الْعَالَمِينَ the worlds

خَيرَ علِم علِم


We selected them (Children of Israel to spread) knowledge (Guidance from Allah given in Torah through Musa) worldwide.

وَآتَيْنَاهُم And We gave them

الْاٰيَاتِ the Signs

بَلَٰٓؤٌۭا (was) a trial

أتى آ ىي -آية فِي بلو بَا نَ


And We gave them many signs, in which there were clear trials.

إِنَّ Indeed

هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these

لَيَقُولُونَ surely they say

Indeed, this is what surely, they will say.

إِنْ Not

بِمُنشَرِينَ (will be) raised again

“This is only our first death, and we will not be resurrected (raised).

فَأْتُوا Then bring

بِاٰبَائِنَآ our forefathers

أتى أَب كَانَ صَدَقَ


Bring in (here) our forefathers if you are truthful.”

أَهُمْ Are they?

خَيرَ قَامَ قَبِلَ هَلَكَ كَانَ جرم


Are they better, or the nation of Tubba and those from before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals.

وَمَا And not

خَلَقْنَا We created

السَّمَاوَاتِ the heavens

وَالْأَرْضَ and the earth

بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between them

خَلَقَ سما أَ رَضْ بَا نَ لَعِبَ


We did not create the universe and the earth and what is between them as a game (to play).

خَلَقْنَاهُمَآ We created both of them

We did not create them except with the truth (we created the universe and earth with a real-life with real consequences on judgment day), but many do not know.

Indeed, the Day of Decision is a fixed time (scheduled) for them to gather.

On the Day when no friend will be helpful in friendship on anything, they will not be assisted.

Except him, whom Allah has mercy on him. Indeed, He is the Most Powerful, the Most Merciful.

شَجَرَتَ (the) tree

Indeed, the Tree of Zakhoum.

Like a heated (drink) to quench a burning thirst.

Hold him and drag him straight to Hell!

Taste! You (thought you) were with noble strength.

This (Hell) is what you doubted (suspected).

Indeed, as for the God-fearing, they will be in a safe place.

يَلْبَسُونَ Wearing garments

لَبِسَ قَبِلَ


They will be dressed in silk and brocade, facing each other.

كَذَٰلِكَ Thus

Kathalika

وَزَوَّجْنَاهُم And We will marry them

wazawwajnahum

بِحُورٍ (to) companions

bihoorin

عِينٍ with beautiful eyes

AAeenin
ع ي ن
٥٤

زَاجَ حَارَ عين


That is how We will wed the virgins of Paradise with (beautiful) eyes as mates.

يَدْعُونَ They will call

They will (get) every fruit they require peacefully in there.

ذاق مَاتَ مَاتَ اول وقى عَذُبَ جحم


They will not taste death beyond their first death, and (We will) save them from the punishment of Hell.

فَضْلًا A Bounty

Generosity from your Rabb. That is the greatest success.

يَسَّرْنَاهُ We have made it easy

بِلِسَانِكَ in your tongue

يَتَذَكَّرُونَ take heed

سَرَّ لَسِنَ ذَكّرَ


We made it (Al Quran) easy in your language so that they may remember.

فَارْتَقِبْ So watch

مُّرْتَقِبُونَ (too are) watching

So, keep observing. They, too, are in observation.
