34:1


الْحَمْدُ All praises

حَمِدَ إِلَٰه فِي سما فِي أَ رَضْ حَمِدَ فِي أخر حَكَمَ خَبَرَ


The praise belongs to Allah, Rabb of the universe and the earth. His glory is eternal and will endure forever (The final conclusion will be His Praise in the search for truth in the Universe and Earth). He is the Most Wise and Knowledgeable.

علِم وَلَجَ فِي أَ رَضْ خرج نَزَلَ سَمَا عَرَجَ رَحِمَ غفر


He knows what takes shelter in the earth, what emerges from it, what is sent down from the sky, and what climbs (rises) up there. He is the Most Merciful, the Most Forgiving.

وَقَالَ But say

قَالَ كَفَرَ أتى سَاعته قَالَ رَبَّ أتى علِم غَابَ عَزَبَ ثقل ذَرَّ فِي سما فِي أَ رَضْ صَغُرَ كَبَرَ فِي كَتَبَ بَا نَ


Those who did injustice say, “The Time (of judgment) will not come to us.” Say, Yes (Certainly) “By my Rabb, surely it will come to you. He Knows the unseen.” Nothing escapes Him, not even the weight of an atom in the universe and earth or anything smaller from that or more significant. All are (recorded) in the open Book.

34:4


لِّيَجْزِيَ That He may reward

الصَّالِحَاتِ righteous deeds

مَّغْفِرَةٌ (will be) forgiveness

وَرِزْقٌ and a provision

warizqun

كَرِيمٌ noble

جَزَى أَ مُنَ عَمِلَ صَلَحَ غفر رَزَقَ كَرُمَ


(The Day of final judgment will come) To reward those who believed and did righteous deeds. For them are forgiveness and noble provisions.

وَالَّذِينَ But those who

سعى آ ىي -آية عَجَزَ عَذُبَ رَجَزَ أَ لِمَ


As for those who struggle (try) to weaken (don't give importance and significance to) Our Signs, those will have painful, degrading punishment.

وَيَرَى And see

رَأَى أتى علِم نَزَلَ رَبَّ حَقَّ هَدَى صِرَاط عَزَّ حَمِدَ


Those who are granted knowledge can see that what is revealed to you from your Rabb is the truth, leading to the path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.

34:7


وَقَالَ But say

قَالَ كَفَرَ دَلَّ رَجِلَ نبأ زقّ كُلّ مَزَقَ خَلَقَ جدّ


Those who committed injustice said, "Shall we direct you to a man who will inform you that when you have been utterly torn into pieces, you will then be created anew?"

34:8


أَفْتَرَىٰ Has he invented?

فتر إِله كَذَبَ جنّ أمُن أخر فِي عَذُبَ ضلّ بعُد


Has he fabricated a lie about Allah, or is he possessed? Those who do not believe in the Hereafter will be in the punishment, (they are) lost in the far away (from the truth).

أَفَلَمْ Then do not?

رَأَى بَا نَ يدي خَلَفَ سَمَا أَ رَضْ شَأَن خَسَفَ أَ رَضْ سَقَطَ كَسَفَ سَمَا فِي آ ىي -آية كُلّ عَبَدَ نَابَ


Do they not see what is between their hands (in front of them) and behind them, in the sky and the earth (everywhere there are Signs)? If We wanted, We could sink them in the ground (swallowing them into the ground) or drop a piece (maybe like a meteorite) from the sky on them. In this, there are signs for every worshipper who returns (to Allah asking for forgiveness) time after time.”

34:10


وَلَقَدْ And certainly

Walaqad

اٰتَيْنَا We gave

وَأَلَنَّا And We made pliable

الْحَدِيدَ [the] iron

أتى فَضَلَ جبل أ و ب طَارَ لَانَ حَدَّ


We have already bestowed Our favors on Dawood, saying: “O mountains and birds, celebrate Our praises with him.” And We made iron soft (malleable) for him.

عَمِلَ سبغ قدر فِي سَرَدَ عَمِلَ صَلَحَ عَمِلَ بصُر


“That to work on making coats of armor, long and wide, and perforated (interlocking iron rings) with precise measures, and do that well. Indeed, I have a keen insight of what you do.”

وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ And to Sulaiman

رَاحَ غَدَا شَهَرَ رَاحَ شَهَرَ سيل عين قَطَرَ جنّ عَمِلَ بَا نَ يدي أَذن رَبَّ زَاغَ أمر ذاق عَذُبَ سعى


Suleiman was blessed with the wind that used to blow for a month and then rest for a month. We also provided him with a flowing stream of tar. The Jinn used to work in front of him with permission from Allah; those who disobeyed our commands, We made them taste the punishment of blazing fire."

عَمِلَ شِاءَ حَرِبَ مَثَلَ جفن جاب قدر رَأَسَ عَمِلَ اول شَكَرَ قَلَّ عَبَدَ شَكَرَ


They worked for him (Suleman) to do whatever he wanted: prayer niches, images, pitchers with conformity, and cooking pots fixed in place, work for the family of Dawood to be thankful,” but few from My servants are grateful.

فَلَمَّا Then when

قَضَى مَاتَ دَلَّ مَاتَ دَبَّ أَ رَضْ أكل خَرَّ بَا نَ جنّ كَانَ علِم غَابَ لبِث فِي عَذُبَ هَانَ


Then, when We decreed death upon him (Suleman), nothing indicated to them of his death except the creature of the earth eating his staff (That Suleman was dead and his staff was not being used for some time). Then, when it fell, it became apparent to the jinn that if they had known the unseen (Dawood had died), they would not have lived in the degrading punishment.

كَانَ فِي سَكَنَ آ ىي -آية جنّ يَمَنَ شِمَال أكل رَزَقَ رَبَّ شَكَرَ بَلَدَ طَابَ رَبَّ غفر


There were signs already for Saba in their dwellings: two gardens, right and left. “Eat from the provisions of your Rabb and thank Him.” A good city and (favor from) Forgiving Rabb.

فَأَعْرَضُوا But they turned away

عَرُضَ رَسِلَ سيل عَرِم بَدَلَ جنّ جنّ ذُو أكل NF أثْل شِاءَ سَدِرَ قَلَّ


But they turned away (from Rabb), so, We sent on them the vast flood, and We change their two gardens with the two gardens with bitter fruit and deep-rooted things (produced) from lotus tree, small (quantities).

ذَٰلِكَ That

Thalika

جَزَيْنَاهُم We recompensed them

جَزَى كَفَرَ جَزَى كَفَرَ


That is what We rewarded them due to their injustice. Would We reward anyone (with punishment) except the unjust?

جعل بَا نَ بَا نَ قَرَى بَرَكَ قَرَى ظهر قدر سَا ءَ سَارَ لَيْل يوْم أمُن


And We made between them, and between the (neighboring) villages that we have blessed them, with meals served openly. We decreed their travel (to be easy). “Travel in the night and day with peace.”

فَقَالُوا But they said

قَالَ رَبَّ بعُد بَا نَ سفر ظَلَمَ نفُس جعل حَدَثَ ذاق كُلّ مَزَقَ فِي آ ىي -آية كُلّ صَبَرَ شَكَرَ


Then (but) they said, “Our Rabb, expand between our travel (increase the spatial separation of towns). They were cruel to themselves (by asking break from other towns), so, We made them history and shredded them into pieces. There are signs for every patient and thankful person.

وَلَقَدْ And certainly

And indeed, Iblis was correct about them in his suppositions. They followed him, except for a group of believers.

كَانَ سُلَط علِم أمُن أخر فِي شَكَّ رَبَّ كُلّ شِاءَ حَفِظَ


He (Shaitan) had no power over them except for Us to know who believes in the Hereafter among them (and) who doubts it. Your Rabb is a Protector of Everything. Note. This Ayat indicates that when you allow yourself to be misled by Satan, you are essentially giving in to the idea that you won't be held accountable for your actions. Remember that every decision you make has consequences, and it's up to you to choose the right path and resist temptation. Don't let Satan deceive you into making choices that could harm yourself or others - instead, stay strong and true to believe in Allah, and trust Allah that you will be rewarded for your righteousness.

Say, "Call those you think (as a god or supporter) other than Allah. They own not an atom's weight in the universe or the earth, and they (who you call other than Allah) don't have any share in there, "And there is no helper for Him (Allah) among them."

And the mediation will not benefit him, except whoever He (Allah) permits. Until, when their (mediators) hearts are frightened, they will say, “What did your Rabb say?” They will say, “The truth, and He is High Above, (He is) the Greatest.”

Say, “Who gives you the provisions from the sky and the earth?” Say, “Allah. And either we are, or you are, on the righteous path or in evident error.”

Say, “Our Rabb will gather us; then He will disclose (open) the truth between us. He is the One, Opener (An Attribute of Allah), the All-Knowing.”

Say, “Show me those that you realize as His partners. Certainly not! But, Allah, He is the Most Powerful, the Wisest.”

We did not send you except who is sufficient to (guide) humankind as a (final) Messenger (provider) of Good news and a Warner, but many people do not know.

Say, "You are promised an appointed Day, and you cannot delay it by a single moment, nor can you hasten it."

قَالَ كَفَرَ أمُن قَرَأَ بَا نَ يدي رَأَى ظَلَمَ وقف عَنَدَ رَبَّ رَجَعَ بَعَضَ بَعَضَ قَالَ قَالَ ضَعُفَ كَبَرَ كَانَ أمُن


Those wrongdoers say, “We will never believe in this Quran or what is in front (before it).” If you could see the unjust, when stopped (halted) in front of their Rabb, (then they will be) turning to each other, by the words saying who deemed weak, to those who deemed great (important), “If it were not for you, we would have been believers.”

Those deemed great (important) will say to those deemed weak, “Did we stop you from guidance after it came to you? No, indeed, you were the criminals (you, yourself, were not believers).”

قَالَ ضَعُفَ كَبَرَ مَكَرَ لَيْل نهر أ مر كَفَرَ إِلَٰه جعل ندا سَرَّ نَدَمَ رَأَى عَذُبَ جعل غَلَّ عَنِقَ كَفَرَ جَزَى كَانَ عَمِلَ


And those who are deemed weak will say to those who are deemed great (important), "It was when you were trying to deceive, night and day, when you were instructing us that we should be unjust with Allah and that we make equal (partners) with Him." They will hide their regret when they see the punishment. We will put collars (chains) on the necks of those who were unjust. Should they be rewarded anything but for what they were doing?

وَمَآ And not

رَسِلَ فِي قَرَى نَذَرَ قَالَ تَرِفَ رَسِلَ كَفَرَ


And We did not send any warner in the village except those living in luxury say, “We will never believe in that which is sent with you.”

And they said, “We have more wealth and children, and we will not be punished.”

Say, “My Rabb expands the provisions to whomever He wants and controls it, but many of mankind do not know.”

مَال وَلَدَ قرُب عَنَدَ زَلَفَ أَ مُنَ عَمِلَ صَلَحَ جَزَى ضَعُفَ عَمِلَ فِي غَرَفَ أمُن


It is neither your wealth nor your children that will bring you closer to Us, but it is he who believes and does the righteous deeds. For them, the reward will be multiplied for what they did, and they will be in peaceful rooms.

وَالَّذِينَ And those who

Those who struggle (try) to weaken Our signs (try to make insignificant the importance of His signs) will be present for the punishment.

قَالَ رَبَّ بسط رَزَقَ شِاءَ عَبَدَ قدر نفق شِاءَ خَلَفَ خَيرَ رَزَقَ


Say, “Indeed, My Rabb expands the provisions to whomever He wants among His slaves and controls it. And whatever you spend on anything, He replaces it. He is the Best Provider.”

34:40


وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day

Wayawma

يَحْشُرُهُمْ He will gather them

لِلْمَلَآئِكَةِ to the Angels

إِيَّاكُمْ you

iyyakum

كَانُوا they were

ك و ن
يَعْبُدُونَ worshipping

yaAAbudoona
ع ب د
٤٠

يوْم حَشَرَ جَمَعَ قَالَ ملك كَانَ عَبَدَ


And On the Day when they will be gathered all together, then He (Allah) will say to the angels, “Are these, who used to worship you (angels)?”

34:41


قَالُواْ They will say

سُبْحَٰنَكَ Glory be to You!

وَلِيُّنَا (are) our Protector

قَالَ سبح وَلِيَ دُون كَانَ عَبَدَ جنّ كَثَرَ أمُن


They will say, “Praise to You; You are our Supporter, not them. In fact, they used to worship the jinn, and many of them were believers in them (jinn as a partner).”

فَالْيَوْمَ But today

يوْم ملك بَعَضَ بَعَضَ نَفَعَ ضَرَّ قَالَ ظَلَمَ ذاق عَذُبَ نَار كَانَ كَذَبَ


“Today, none of you possess the power to profit or harm each other.” And We will say to those unjust, “Taste the punishment of the Fire that you used to deny.”

34:43


وَإِذَا And when

تلو آ ىي -آية بَا نَ قَالَ رَجِلَ رَادَ صَدَّ كَانَ عَبَدَ أَب قَالَ أَفَكَ فَرَىَ قَالَ كَفَرَ حَقَّ جَاءَ سَحَرَ بَا نَ


And when Our verses were recited on them clearly, they say, “Who is this, except a man who wants to divert you from what your forefathers were worshipping.” And they say, “This is nothing but a fabrication.” Those unjust said, when the truth came to them, “This is clear magic.”

34:44


وَمَآ And not

Wama

اٰتَيْنَاهُم We (had) given them

يَدْرُسُونَهَا which they could study

أَرْسَلْنَآ We sent

قَبْلَكَ before you

نَّذِيرٍ warner

٤٤

أتى كَتَبَ دَرَسَ رَسِلَ قَبِلَ نَذَرَ


And We did not give them the books they could learn from, nor did We send them a Warner before you.

34:45


وَكَذَّبَ And denied

نَكِيرِ My rejection

كَذَبَ قَبِلَ بلغ عَشَرَ أتى كَذَبَ رَسِلَ كَيدَ كَانَ نَكِرَ


And those before them also denied and they did not reach to one-tenth of what We had given them. They denied my Messengers, so, how was My disapproval?

قُلْ Say

أَعِظُكُم I advise you

بِوَاحِدَةٍ for one (thing)

بِصَاحِبِكُم (is in) your companion

قَالَ عَظُمَ وحد قَامَ إِلَٰه ثنى فَرُدَ فَكُرَ صَحِبَ جنّ نَذَرَ بَا نَ يدي عَذُبَ شَدَّ


Say, “Indeed, what I advise you is with one thing: devote yourselves for Allah in pairs or individually; and (then) reflect. Your friend is not possessed by jinn. He is only a Warner for you before the advent of severe punishment.”

قَالَ سأل أَجَرَ أَجَرَ إِله كُلّ شِاءَ شَهِدَ


Say, “I do not ask you for any reward (for me); it is for you. My reward is only from Allah, and He is the witness to all things.”

Say, “The truth has come, and the falsehood originates nothing, and nothing is repeated (the falsehood does not create or repeats creation).”

قَالَ ضلّ ضلّ نفُس هَدَى وَحَى رَبَّ سَمَعَ قرُب


Say, “If I am misled, then I misled myself; but if I am guided, then that is because it is revealed to me from my Rabb. He Listens very closely”.

34:51


وَلَوْ And if

If only you could see when they are frightened and there is no escape, they are caught from a nearby place.

وَقَالُوا And they will say

قَالَ أَ مُنَ أنى ناش مَكُنَ بعُد


And they say, “We have believed in it.” But they were hostile (arguing and quarreling) from a far place.

34:53


وَقَدْ And certainly

They were ungrateful with it before, casting (throwing) with the unknown (fabricated lies) from a far place.

وَحِيلَ And a barrier will be placed

حَالَ بَا نَ بَا نَ شها فَعَلَ شَاعَ قَبِلَ كَانَ فِي شَكَّ رَابَ


They will be prevented by a barrier between themselves and what they want (to be forgiven and escape punishment), like what was done with their communities before. They were in doubtful suspicion (They did not believe in Allah and His Messenger, so; they were made hopeless by a barrier).
